Princess Leia is prime minister in Ukraine On the second half of our trip in Ukraine we saw a poster with a picture of a person we know very well. It was Princess Leia on the poster and it said that she is now prime minister of Ukraine. We have been wondering what happened to her because after Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi she disappeared and we were never able to figure out what happened to her. Now we know that she ended up in Ukraine and that she is now the leader of that country. Good that [View Full Entry]

This summer vacation we went to Ukraine Hi all you fans of our blog. We are still not finished with telling about all the travels we have done this year. We still have the big vacation in Ukraine to write about. That trip was so long and we saw so much that we have to divide it in two blog entries to fit in everything. So here comes the story from the first half of all our adventures in Ukraine this summer. When we came to Ukraine we arrived in Kiev, the capital city. There mum and dad first took us [View Full Entry]

One weekend in Riga We have two more small trips we would like to write about. Like the trips to Berlin and Milan they are too small to merit one entry each but together they are enough for us to write about. First we would like to write about our trip in Riga. In Riga we stayed at a youth hostel called Tiger Hostel. The name of the hostel is not as strange as you might think. You see the owner of the hostel is a tiger and there are tiger paintings on the walls and carpets with tigers on them [View Full Entry]

Toys going to the Arctic Once or twice every year dad takes us on trips when mum doesn't come along. This summer dad took us on one of these trips and the destination this time was North Cape. North Cape is the furthest north you can go in Europe. That sounded to us like a big adventure so we happily followed dad on this trip. We thought that we would have to walk for days in snow and ice, sleep in a tent, fight with wild animals and generally risk our lives to reach this remote destination so far up in [View Full Entry]

Dad took us to India We have already told you about the trips we made to Milan and Berlin earlier this year. But in between those we actually managed to squeeze in yet another trip. That one was to India and we are going to write about it here. Mum and dad have been to India before. Dad has in fact been there twice before. You see, mum and dad are both very old and they also travelled for many years before we were born. It can’t have been very fun for them to travel without us all those years because [View Full Entry]

One weekend in Milan in Italy In late winter and early spring this year mum and dad went on two shorter trips on which they let us come along. Each of these only a weekend long so we didn't have time to see very much. But if we put these two trips together we think we have enough exciting stories to tell to make it worth writing. On the first of these trips we went to Milan and Bergamo in Italy. We were so happy to go back to Italy because we had so much fun last time we were there. [View Full Entry]

Christmas and New Year in a land where men wear dresses Two years ago dad told us that we were going to visit a country called Yeah Man. Back then we thought daddy was joking with us. Dad's jokes are so silly and stupid that you wouldn't believe it. And a country just can't be called Yeah Man. But it turned out that there actually is a country called Yeah Man. Well, strictly it's called Yemen but that is almost the same, isn't it? If you want to read about our adventures there you can follow this link. In December last [View Full Entry]

A short trip to the north - really far north Last summer dad had a few days off when mum still had to work. Those days dad took us for a short vacation trip without mum. That doesn't seem to happen very often these days. Dad doesn't seem to go anywhere without mum anymore. We have been thinking that maybe dad is getting too old to travel on his own. Or maybe it is that mum is not letting him travel on his own...? Well, last summer dad did go on a trip on his own and we were with him. [View Full Entry]

Pyramids, penguins and ruins This year we spent our summer vacation in South America. We spent most of the time in Peru but we were also a few days in Bolivia. We had a lot of fun there and we are now going to write about that. In fact we had so much fun that we have to write not one but two entries on the blog to include it all. We first arrived in Lima, the capital of Peru. There we found a really nice playground. So the first impression of Peru was a good one. Small toys like us [View Full Entry]

Peru - a great place to meet new friends Here comes the second part of our story from the vacation trip this summer. One of the best things about travelling is all the interesting characters you meet and all the new friends you make. We always have mum and dad with us so we are never lonely. But mum and dad are sometimes so boring and dull. You know, they are so old and they are our parents. Parents can be so embarrassing. Everybody younger than 18 who read this know what we are talking about. On this trip we made [View Full Entry]
