Victoria Memorial
In Kolkata we first went to see Victoria Memorial. Why have the Indians built a large monument over a European monarch?
Dad took us to India We have already told you about the trips we made to Milan and Berlin earlier this year. But in between those we actually managed to squeeze in yet another trip. That one was to India and we are going to write about it here. Mum and dad have been to India before. Dad has in fact been there twice before. You see, mum and dad are both very old and they also travelled for many years before we were born. It can’t have been very fun for them to travel without us all those years [View Full Entry]

Bergamo old town
Bergamo old town
The part of Bergamo mum and Aunt Anna liked the most was the old town.
One weekend in Milan in Italy In late winter and early spring this year mum and dad went on two shorter trips on which they let us come along. Each of these only a weekend long so we didn't have time to see very much. But if we put these two trips together we think we have enough exciting stories to tell to make it worth writing. On the first of these trips we went to Milan and Bergamo in Italy. We were so happy to go back to Italy because we had so much fun last time we were there. [View Full Entry]

Christmas and New Year in a land where men wear dresses Two years ago dad told us that we were going to visit a country called Yeah Man. Back then we thought daddy was joking with us. Dad's jokes are so silly and stupid that you wouldn't believe it. And a country just can't be called Yeah Man. But it turned out that there actually is a country called Yeah Man. Well, strictly it's called Yemen but that is almost the same, isn't it? If you want to read about our adventures there you can follow this link. [View Full Entry]

North of the Polar Circle
Going to a place north of the Polar Circle was a first for us!
A short trip to the north - really far north Last summer dad had a few days off when mum still had to work. Those days dad took us for a short vacation trip without mum. That doesn't seem to happen very often these days. Dad doesn't seem to go anywhere without mum anymore. We have been thinking that maybe dad is getting too old to travel on his own. Or maybe it is that mum is not letting him travel on his own...? Well, last summer dad did go on a trip on his own and we were with him. [View Full Entry]

Playground in Lima
Playground in Lima
The first thing we found in Lima was a really nice playground.
Pyramids, penguins and ruins This year we spent our summer vacation in South America. We spent most of the time in Peru but we were also a few days in Bolivia. We had a lot of fun there and we are now going to write about that. In fact we had so much fun that we have to write not one but two entries on the blog to include it all. We first arrived in Lima, the capital of Peru. There we found a really nice playground. So the first impression of Peru was a good one. Small toys like us [View Full Entry]

Machu Picchu sits on the top of a mountain with steep slopes on two sides. The setting really is half the experience when it comes to seeing Machu Picchu.
Peru - a great place to meet new friends Here comes the second part of our story from the vacation trip this summer. One of the best things about travelling is all the interesting characters you meet and all the new friends you make. We always have mum and dad with us so we are never lonely. But mum and dad are sometimes so boring and dull. You know, they are so old and they are our parents. Parents can be so embarrassing. Everybody younger than 18 who read this know what we are talking about. On this trip we made [View Full Entry]

We have been to Disneyland Earlier this year we went to Disneyland. Dad didn't seem to like it though. He was constantly grunting things like "This is so stupid", "Revolting American trash", "A cultural meltdown this is" and "So plastic and tasteless". Mum was more into it. She was smiling the whole time we were there and she was all delirious when she rode in the various attractions and when she helped us hunt down pirate treasures in the Pirate World. But before we tell you about Disneyland we'd like to tell you what we did more in Paris. We came [View Full Entry]

In Dublin we spent most of the time in the hotel Over midsummer this year we went with mum and dad to Dublin in Ireland. We travel a lot and most of the time we love it. But this time our hearts were not quite into it. We hope you are not holding it against us. Almost always we are genuine super travellers. We have endless supplies of energy and we are always up for new adventures. But not this time. First of all we were really tired from our trip to the United States earlier in the year. We were [View Full Entry]

Waiting
Waiting
Waiting for the plane to take us to the US. Travelling also includes a lot of waiting. Here we use the time to take a nap on mummy.
Seeing New York and Washington DC Earlier this year we went to the United States with mum and dad. Yes, you guessed right, mum and dad still refuse to let us travel on our own. We think we should be allowed to travel by ourselves soon. We are big toys now. It is embarrassing for us to always have the old folks with us whenever we travel. But to be honest there is one tiny advantage to it too - they pay for everything! When we learnt that we were going to the States we got so excited. We have heard [View Full Entry]

Summary of the last six hectic months Hi all of you. We have over the last couple of months been very busy travelling the World so we haven't been able to write much. This is going to change now. We have so much we want to tell you about and we hope we will have time to put our stories and our photos onto the blog. We have been travelling in many exciting and exotic countries since we were in Rome over Christmas. Well, you already know about our visit to the Star Wars exhibition.
