So, since my last blog post when I was in a fowl mood. Work has improved a great deal no ones really on my back anymore. Which is nice, I dont come home needing a large mug of wine lol A few weeks ago we re created an aussie/canadian thanksgiving, we couldnt find a turkey so we had two chickens. I made stuffing, carrots and mash potatoes. The meal turned out really good, I think we should do chicken all the time, its not soo dry. So, I had the worst day at work today, got up for work at 7 to come home at almost 6. I dopped 2 glasses at work infront of everyone. Which lead to the kitchen bothering me for the rest of the night. I was cornered by two managers at once to tell me a) wasnt picking up the bread plates fast enough and that i wasnt handling wine properly. Updates from the last two weeks: Ive been working for about 2 weeks now, I like it, the people at my work are really nice. But the restaraunt is fancy so i have these stricked giuldlines to follow and it seems like I keep messing them up, but im slowly learning. So, in the last week my mission has been to find a job, annnd i think i may have found one. After walking around and around Brisbane and going through 3 different interviews, to still not be hired, I now have a trial at a place called Eves on the river. I have a shift fri and sat, so hopefully if i dont do anything horribly wrong they will keep me. The really strange thing is that at this same restaraunt there is another Emma Hoskins! heeeeeey everyone! so ive been in Brisbane about 2 weeks now. So, we have been in Penrith for 5 days, Penrith is like the Princeton of NSWs lol but its close to Blue mountians and Jenolan caves. For the first few days we did absolutely nothing just sat and watched movies all day. Getting locked inside one day by Phill didnt reaaally help with that lol We had to order pizza and got him to pass it over the side fence. Alright! so this is the first entry to the blog that my dearest mother wants me to start and I think I at least owe her that! Right now we are at a hostel on the beach that is so beautiful in a smaller part of sydney. Sydney is huge it amazes me you think you are out of it when you take an hour long bus ride and a train but, you are still in it.
