Happy to hear that you had some good ol' comfort food and a little extra TLC from your host mom and family. Here is a hug from us. we love you very very much. you are our best. xo mom and dad
amazing what an experience you are having!! i could not have imagined in my wildest dreams what this trip would turn into. I am thrilled we were able to make this happen for you. xo
holy potatoes!!!!! Emanuel... I swear if I could I'd hop on a plane and join you just to eat I would!!! Even if it looks totally gross, you make it sound delish!!! I can't believe the stuff you are eating. I laughed out loud when I read about the jello feeling like slugs!! You are too funny! I know family comes first, but when you come home and make that Japanese dinner for your family, Chichi AND I will be hiding under the table waiting for any scraps to fall!! The pics of your recent trip are equally amazing. Your host family sounds to good to be true. You are very lucky to have been hooked up with them, and they.. just as lucky to have you as their "white kid". Keep up the good work, learn lots and most of all have fun! I look forward to more adventures in the blog. It's like a good book that you can't put down and wonder what's coming next! Thanks for sharing.
April :)
its been a while how beautiful the pix are! although we speak often, I love reading your blogs and the way that you write. Have a great day. PLEASE promise, you WILL come home!!!!!!!!!!!! xoxoxo
School Days This sounds like a great adventure. I will be very curious to see how the U.S. is portrayed by your professor from the L.A. Times. STudy hard, we know you will.
classes What a spirit and outlook, as usual. you continue to amaze me, just when I think I have seen it all. I am so proud of you. I am glad that you are making Japanese friends, socializing and going with what you say is the consensus, that the first couple of months will be tough. love you soooooooooooo much. xo
Hakone wow, what pix. what a beautiful country!! cant believe all of the interesting geography and landforms. I bet those hot springs cures what ails you. xo mom
WOW Well, you are really getting into the Japanese culture! I think Mom and I should come out and go to one of those spas, minus the rocks! The street mania is crazy! How are you NOT getting lost. I envy your experiences, I am so happy for you. Thank you for sharing so much of it with the rest of us poor people stuck in Cort. Manor! The food looks amazing also. You'll have to share some of your culinary lessons with us when you come home. It seems you are always on the move and enjoying it all. Is there anything that you don't like?? Well enjoy your day.. oh wait ...you already have!! it's 10:30 pm there, you're probably in bed already! Well enjoy today then..
Take care April :)
