Wow, it has been so long since I have updated! I believe I left off with the Cricket… The day after the cricket, Caroline and I did a little tour of Sydney’s tourist sights. We went down to the Circular Quay and saw the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. We went into the Contemporary Art Gallery, which was really good! After that, we took a bus to Bondi beach and suntanned and swam. Just as we were going to get dinner at Bondi, this huge storm hit. Caroline and I quickly found a little restaurant and stayed there until the storm passed. The next day, Caroline and I took the train from the city centre to Robbie’s parent’s house. We went to a birthday BBQ and party for one of Robbie’s friends. After that we went ... read more
Hello again! Well, it is a rainy day and I have absolutely nothing else to do but update my blog! Hopefully this time, I will finally get it up to date! Sooooo..... where did I leave off? Alright, well, after Caroline and I slept in Manly with Glenn, we took a train up to Newcastle to stay with Robbie for a while. We got to Robbie's on Jan 17 (Sat) in the late afternoon. Robbie, being the party animal that he is, really wanted to take us out, so, we all went down to the local gay nightclub! It was so much fun! The three of us went, along with Lewi and Keira (Robbie's roomate and his girlfriend). It was so much fun and it was nice that we could just walk there from Robbie and ... read more
Hey Everyone! I'm back with lots to tell! I should really be updating this every week so that I remember more details and won't have to write huge entries to cover 3 weeks at a time. Oh well! Alright, not too sure where I left off, but I believe it was with Pyramid Rock Festival. After the festival, I went back to Lucy's parent's place. They me on a tour of the Peninsula. We drove around and also did a big hike. It was a really beautiful day! Lucy's dad, Mark, was an expert at pointing out all the kangaroos along the hike. I was so excited to see so many kangaroos. I was able to get pretty close to this really big one before he hopped away. We also saw this lizard... not sure what ... read more
Hello Everyone! So, updating my blog twice a week was definitely a promise I broke.... sorry about that! On a positive note, it is only because I have been having so much fun and have been way to busy! I will start from the beginning and hopefully, I will be able to remember everything. I flew out of Calgary on Dec 24th. It was hard to leave as I really had not had much time to think about the fact that I was leaving for 8 months and it hit me the day I left. My flight over was very long! I flew Calgary to LA and then had an 8 hour stop-over in LA airport. It turned out that the lady sitting next to me on my first flight was going to New Zealand and ... read more
Welcome to my blog! I officially leave in 9 days! I haven't packed, haven't written my last report that needs to get done, haven't called the credit card companies, haven't seen everyone, etc, etc, etc! I'm sure this will all get done in time for my departure on Dec 24th! Dad is sad that I won't be home for Christmas but I told him that I'm just trying to get closer to God for Christmas... not sure he believed that one... hehe. We are celebrating early this year! Mom and Dad will be driving me down to Calgary for my flight. I have stop-overs in Los Angeles and Fiji and it will take me quite a while to get over to Sydney. I am so excited to see all my Aussie friends and a couple non-Aussie ... read more
