Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Thank you very much for your Christmas card. Congratulations on the birth of your first granddaughter. She is pretty and looks like a doll. Fortunately both Atsuko and I are feeling well while I am losing strength a bit. Please let me know if you and Joan plan to visit Japan and see some countryside where I live. Warm regards. GREETINGS Bob and Sue....Great to hear from you. Sounds like your family is spread out like ours was until we moved a little closer. We miss our Chicagoland friends but are loving California..being close to family and the nice winter. Do not miss the Chicago winters. Understand last winter was brutal. If ever get out West...be sure and let us know. Roseville is a great location. Close to San Fran, Tahoe and wine country. Be well Dwight and Joan

Hello from the Hartman's Duane Abbott has been kind enough to share your blogs with us. We are happy to hear that you are doing well and that your entire family was together for Easter. Ours was a quiet day since Mike, Beth and Natalie live in St. Louis and Scott and his girlfriend, Molly, reside in Minneapolis. Bob and Sue
Happy Thanksgiving from France Hi !
very nice pictures indeed. I Guess Dwight was a pirat. We heard that there was very windy in Illinois and especially in Chicago. What about Glen Ellyn ? Any damages ?
with love from France.
Jérôme.
Bon Jour
Great to hear from you….how are your boys?
Luckily the storm was South of Chicago/Glen Ellyn so all is OK there.
The nice weather in California is another reason why we are enjoying it here.
How are your parents? Give them our best.
Say hi to Yannick
Hope our paths cross again soon.
Love

NEWS Hi Joanie & Dwight!
Thanks for your July 4th greeting! I have been in hospital all week and got a weekend pass before my surgery. I officially retired on Fri. June 29. On Mon. went in for what I thought was minor gallbladder outpatient surgery. Tues. I was told I have pancreatic cancer...no symptoms and no secondary health issues...what a shock. Was told yesterday they CAN operate, so that will be sometime next week. Just keep me in your prayers and I'll let you know outcome. I do plan to get to Roseville...I promise! Judy
Happy 4th Well a very happy fourth of July to you too.Glad to hear there is an empty room available in Roseville...Now if I can get my legs moving again, I would love to come out for a visit..right now I am being treated for edema..(swollen legs)..you sent a picture of the new dwight home..looks great..sounds like everything is a golf cart ride away.. That is sensational.. Ken
Happy 4th! It was a scorcher here today, 102 degrees! Juan Reyes wanted you to know the hot tub is now working (in cooler weather it's the swimming pool). We had a great 4th hanging out with them in the "hot tub", it was still cooler than the air. Wish you could've been here with us! In this crazy heat, Riccardo golfed his best game ever at Pottawatomie, somewhere around 40 or 42 on the nine-hole. Hope you had a great 4th too!
Happy 4th to you as well! As I was preparing my salad for the Scheive's today I thought about you and hoped maybe we would see you today - a surprise visit! Sounds like you both are enjoying California, upcoming grandparenthood and wedding. So happy for you - hope to catch up soon.
We were very happy to hear that Adam and Jessica are engaged and especially pleased that Adam called us. We are happy that we got to meet her and found her such a sweet and lovely girl.
Bill is doing very well in his recuperation. The right arm is still not cooperating to his satisfaction but he is walking entirely with his cane. He is still going twice a week to therapy in Centralia.
I am doing very well also - and I am almost finished with my Secret Pal's afaghan - so I can still do it!!!! Love to all - Hugs, Bill and Elaine
