A full selection of pictures can be found here Well contrary to what my students told me back in September about maybe having snow in February, we got snow TODAY. When I woke up, at 10, I looked outside and notice a nice blanket of snow on the ground. I quickly got Liz and woke up Christine to tell them the news. This doesn't sound like a big deal, but this city has not seen an accumulation of snow in 3 years. So after having a quick look around the school to see the snow we decided to make a trek [View Full Entry]

Nov 24 we headed to a little Chinese village with one of our new Chinese friends. This village is where the town he grew up in. It is about 2 hours away from Nanjing. We went there to meet his family, see the rice fields and see how small town Chinese people live. The most interesting part about this trip... the village he grew up in has never seen a white person before. After our long car ride we arrived in the city beside his village. Here we meet his Mom and her side of the family. They were all [View Full Entry]

Tiananmen and Forbidden City Pictures We spent last weekend in the mighty city of Beijing. To get to Beijing we took an over night train. Trains are the way of the people in china and are always packed with people. Since there was three of us travelling and 4 beds in the cabin we has a roommate for the night. This guys was really nice. He is Indian and is working in China as a computer specialist. But the most interesting part about this guy is that his first job was doing tech support for Dell. It was crazy [View Full Entry]
