wow I can't tell you how awestruck I am by your adventure. As envious as I already was of all your travel, I think the experience you have living and teaching in a foreign country is really a once in a lifetime opportunity.
We're really inspired! Can't wait for the next installment.
Jeannie and Chris Flammang
such beauty and peace Thanks so much for sharing these life fullfilling ahs, ohs, oohs, and culture step stones!!! How lucky you are to be a part of such incredible community and humanity!! Party on.....love, mike and kim
Exotic India Thank you Corey and Chris for your very engaging 'blog' about India - it is a special treat to 'travel' with you both. I look forward to your next blog. Enjoy Thailand and no doubt you will find people who speak English, too!
Love, Your Irish Kat, Kathleen
Thank you for sharing such beautiful photos of your travels! You will have to frame many of them. I'm sure a gallery would also appreciate them! Bisous. Carole
Oasis Lunchstop Thank you so much for your very informative diary of your journeys so far. I'm really enjoying your photos, too - with Oasis Lunchstop as a special pleasure - as well as the Hindu Temple with steps forever.... I'm really delighted to share in your journey from my armchair vantage point. Look forward to your next installment., Love, irish kat, Kathleen
Jeannie and I got together last weekend. I think we both would agree to be envious of you two. Jobs and new houses are fine, but your adventure sounds like a blast.
how absolutely charming and oh so beautiful Thanks so much for sending this wonderful travel log to us!! It is so incredible for you two to do what you are doing and doing it so well!! Carry on....traveling mercies to you both....love the journey, God be with you and come back home safe and sound. I wish these were my original words, alas, they are not but from one of my favorite authors, Anne Lamott. Happy trails. Now those are original!! love, kim and mike
Galway Awww....you went to Taaffe's...that was my Tuesday night pub. :) Sounds like it hasn't changed much. I took my mom there too when we went. BTW I got your lovely post card.
You probably won't be back in Galway, but if you are, I recommend the Roisin Dubh, the Crane, and Monroe's as well. Was the bakery that Corey is standing next to the one with the tiny beautiful French pastries?
Are you guys going up to Donegal? I recommend a hostel in Dunfanaghy--it's an old mill, near Tra Mor (Wide beach, which is beautiful). Also, you should get up to Derry if you can. And if you are still biking in the south, Kilkenny is very nice.
Congrats on your marriage and the blog You two darling people, I'm so glad you finally tied the knot and started a blog, all in the same summer! It was a thrill to receive an invitation to view the wedding pictures, and it looks like you all had a lovely time. Again, sorry we couldn't be there in person, but my wishful words made it across the continent, I see. Jeff and I anxiously await your travel postings, but my advice to you is to remember not to let the blog take over your journey. If you get behind and three weeks slip because you're so in the present, it's OK. All best!
sniff, sniffle What a perfect day, and what a beautiful bride! You two look, and ARE, fabulous. I'm so happy we could be there with you. And the uncontrolled sobbing during certain parts of the ceremony, as well as the best man's toast, was very cathartic for me, personally. So thank you for that. Congratulations and best wishes!
Corey and Chris were married August 13, 2006. A 5 continent round the world trip began in early September and continued through mid April of 2007. The trip concentrated in Ireland, India, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and Guatemala. They thank their friends and family for their support, encouragement and love on this trip of a lifetime.... full info
