Shark Diving in Cape Town. I went Shark Cage Diving last Wednesday courtesy of Downhill Adventures and I can honestly say it was one of the most incredible days I have ever had. The viewing is superb at this time of year (April-September) with lots of sharks and great visibility. We saw over 15 sharks right from the time of arrival at the location near Dyer Island, off the coast of Gaans Bay (about 2 hours drive from Cape Town). ( I saw 3 under and around the boat on one occasion.) Everything about the trip was faultless- the expertly run operation, the ultra modern boat, the knowledgeable friendly guide and staff; even the weather- it was a warm sunny day with gentle rolling swell.
