Wish you had some photos of these wonderful places You are making me laugh with your descriptions of the hostel. I love your descriptions of the museums. Can't wait to read more.
Immersion is the best way We would love to do what you have done and live with a family so that we are forced to become proficient with the language. When we went to Lima we had been living in Seattle. We arrived late, after dark and went straight to our hotel. The next morning we woke up and looked out our hotel window and the first thing we saw a Starbucks....not what we were hoping for. The architecture is beautiful.
We loved our time in Ica....well, all of Peru We went there before we starting blogging so maybe someday that one will get written. Thanks for the memory. Hope you've been able to wash away all of the sand by now.
jealous What great adventures you are having and I love the pictures. Maybe you should publish some books about your travels for perspective adventures. Looking forward to your next blog. Have fun and be somewhat careful. PC
Great Blog! Thanks for sharing your adventures in Peru, Doug! Sounds like you're making the most of each day and having a great time. I hope your lessons are going well : )
Take Care,
Lisa
cool Sounds like you are having a good time bro - but definately avoid the running on those streets! We don't want you to end up as a Puruvian hood ornament!
Sounds like you're trip is off to an amazing start. I was stressed do read that the people you're staying with don't speak any English but you seem so calm about it. Nothing like full immersion. Your story about dressing for dinner made me smile - that is so something that would happen to me. Love your beautiful pictures! Can't wait to read the next installment. :)
hey Doug!!!
Have been reading your blog and your naration is superb. You should have a show like Bourdain on the travel channel. Sounds like your having a great time and experience there. Your in your element. Like the pics. I'm jealous and wish I was there too. We will be leaving for Jacksonville on tuesday for some beach time and just R&R. Keep writing about your experience and more pics. TTUL
