pretty much the best picture of the trip.
All these girls just graduated from pet grooming beauty school.
March 16th, I left Brisbane with a group of friends for Sapporo in northern Japan. It was me, Hamish, Sarah, Scotty and Joanna. "and it burns burns burns, the ring of fire" ..... our night in taiwon ended up [View Full Entry]

Koala at Steve Irwin's place
these guys sleep even more than I do.
hey guys.... I've finally settled down here, in the nice little town of airlie beach. I've just found a place to live here, with a local aussie, after storing my bags at the prosail office the last week and rotating through dorm rooms while on shore. Being temporarily homeless can be funny, if you can laugh at yourself.... I do it daily. Anyways, I've just got my job here confirmed, after a 3 day training trip. My boss, Dave a good lad, has thrown me on to HAMMER, maxi-yacht, sailing machine, a bloody weapon on the water. It takes 19 passangers [View Full Entry]

Giant Tortoise
These tortoises were between 100-200 yrs old. big, slow and E.T. looking, pretty cool.
Galapagos is one of the coolest (not cold) places... on the main island of San Cristobal, there was dessert, rainforest, farmland and beaches.... obviously full of some of the wildest animals (mostly birds, , tortoises, sea lions and reptiles). Here are some of the pics... cheers. [View Full Entry]

It was great staying with my Uncle Tom and his family for a couple weeks in Chiriqui province. I met Alan here and boarded Wallaby Creek to help take it through the Panama Canal with the others.... the beginning of the Pacific voyage. It seems like a very long time ago. [View Full Entry]

Angkor
The bayon temple within Angkor Thom, is spectacular. From what I remember there is a face carved in the direction of every region in the empire. What a photo opp.
The Temples of Angkor would have to be one of the coolest places I've explored. It takes days to see it all, but it rarely dissapoints. In the 12th century, at the height of the Khmer Empire, the population of Angkor (the capital) was around 1 million, while London, England was still only 40 thousand. How things have changed. Cambodia is quite an amazing place, considering its unimaginable circumstances just 25 years ago. [View Full Entry]
