Thailand

The land of the smile ... Though the tourism industry has had an enormous impact on the country it still holds it's amazing history with pride. The only country in Asia never to be colonized by any european nation I'm pretty sure While keeping you on your toes with a bombardment of sales people Thailand is a pretty relaxing place to be and the people couldn't be more hospitable.

Cambodia

The Temples of Angkor would have to be one of the coolest places I've explored. It takes days to see it all but it rarely dissapoints. In the 12th century at the height of the Khmer Empire the population of Angkor the capital was around 1 million while London England was still only 40 thousand. How things have changed. Cambodia is quite an amazing place considering its unimaginable

Japan part 2

The second half of my time in Japan was spent around Osaka Hiroshima and Kyoto. I met up with my friend Lisa in Osaka for Sumo after a slight misunderstanding regarding the location of the hotel. Oh well it all got sorted out and we met up with Lisa's friend Casey and the rest of their gang before heading off to the Sumo tournament. These are some seriously big lads and it was amazing

March 16th I left Brisbane with a group of friends for Sapporo in northern Japan. It was me Hamish Sarah Scotty and Joanna. As we climbed in altitude through a clear sky we flew over a large area of the great barrier reef and eventually the phillipines what a sight. EVA air out of Taiwon ended up being a pleasure to fly with and I was happy to have unlimited bloody mary's and watch t

It was great staying with my Uncle Tom and his family for a couple weeks in Chiriqui province. I met Alan here and boarded Wallaby Creek to help take it through the Panama Canal with the others.... the beginning of the Pacific voyage. It seems like a very long time ago.

Here are some of the pics... cheers.
