Country number 4 beckons! So i bet you're all itching to know how the 18 hour bus ride from La Paz to Santa Cruz went eh? Well funnily enough, as with most of my blogs....it wasnt quite as straight forward as you´d think! Hey up gang Only a brief one as I really dont have anything exciting to say, however im bored so you will read every word and enjoy!! The last few days have not been the most exciting in the world. Its now literally just Chris, Brad and me. We booked up to do a tour in the pampas, thats basically the wetlands. You can see tons of different wildlife including anacondas, caimans, birds all sorts really. After the excitement of the Death Road, next stop was to head south towards Potosi. 1st port of call and to be fair the only reason for travelling to this small town was to make a visit to the mines. We get geared up in our helmets, overalls and wellies, give it a quick burst of the YMCA and then we are off! The mines have been open for years and it is the only industry in Potosi, they mine for silver, zinc and other minerals incase you were wondering. En route we stop to pick up gifts for the miners. Well gang, hope you all had a peaceful and tranquil christmas day....mine was anything but!! After I wrote the last travel blog, Ben, Brad, Bill and I decided we were bored and would have a couple of pre group meal "quiet" drinks. Well this will probably be my last blog of the year 2007 and to be honest, its pretty hard to even think of it being so near xmas! Since my last blog we have partied very hard in Cusco, to celebrate completing the inca trail, shocker I lost my watch as i was so hungover the next morning!!
