Derby Day in the states
Diane, In the states we also have it. It is the Kentucky Derby! Derby Day. All of Louisville shuts down and most of Kentucky and part of southern Ohio. It is all about the hat and dress. Most women try to make their own hat or more or less decorate their own hat. Looks like you had fun.

Diane, Thanks for the shout-out. I feel really special. :) You're so right about it being hard to find deli meat.... I remember being very excited over Taco Bell jarred salsa and I'm pretty sure I could get Nestle Toll House morsels, too. As for the salsa, ingredients were easily available to make my own. I think I tried it once, and good fresh salsa is so yummy. It's the little things that bring a lot of comfort, that's for sure! I look forward to hearing more of your adventures.

I feel like I'm traveling there with you. Even though some of the pics are blurry, it still gives one the gist of all the places. You ought to think about writing professionally when you return, cause your descriptions and comments are wonderful. Very detailed and fun!! So good to see your travels and very thankful you take the time to take pics and send them! All is well here and continuing as usual, though not as exciting as where you are. Dave is finally getting some culture....
Who'd a thought it would take a trip half way around the world for Dave to see what gems were in his 'backyard' while he was growing up! (see photo-cleveland in china). The photos are beautiful (great work Di)! BTW-this blog is a super way to keep in touch; thanks for the updates!

Thanks Diane to put all together, it makes me recall our Tibet trip and all happiness. I feel like all happens recently. I read Diane's blog and enjoy all pictures. They make me miss all of friends, Diane, Mario, Issac, Dr. Noodles and Chris. Diane reminded me that all happens 8 monthes ago which is really hard to believe. I wish all friends doing good at their family and work. Hope the travel team will gather again to make another great trip. I still wish to be a tour guide in the team. And leading another great trip. God bless all buddies. Vicky loves all of you.
