It is my intention to be photographed with as many different types of animals as possible in my life. They are intelligent and gorgeous creatures. I have been lucky in my University years, when I was modelling, to be allowed a lot of time with a koala and it's baby, whilst the photographer was trying to get the "perfect shot". I had a unique experience where the koala was very interested in me (or I smelt good) and she put her nose right up to my nose and we touched. The photographer was excstatic about this and took the shot in [View Full Entry]

I grew up in Burleigh Heads. This is the headland that was formed millions of years ago by a volcanic erruption and this headland is where the lava met the sea. Spent an afternoon with Mum, Lil Sis, Uncle Tonie and Amy exploring. They hold Billabong pro Surfing Competitions here as the waves are good. have seen dolphins and whales here many times. grew up as a naughty teenager climbing and hiding in the rocks smoking and drinking!! Many memories in this place. [View Full Entry]

We paid $60 for 20 minutes of flying time over Fraser Island. That's like $180 an hour.....wish I was paid that much. But it was truely worth it and it put the whole island into perspective and see all the lakes and fresh water rivers running out to sea. [View Full Entry]

Amy and I took a 4 wheel drive bus tour from Rainbow Beach on the mainland, over on the ferry to Fraser Island. This bus drove over the main area of the island. We saw the resorts, rainforest, Lake MacKenzie, historical wood chopping sights, fresh water creeks but no dingoes. Was sad to hear the last Brumbies have been removed from the island too. Lake MacKenzie is the most amazing lake I have ever seen in my life. It reminded me of the Lagoon in the movie The Beach with Leonardo DiCaprio in Koh Samui Thailand. It has white silica sand [View Full Entry]

Flew to Aussie on Wednesday and chilled at my pregnant little Sister's place on the beach! Although i am back for 2 weeks holiday, my friend Dave has twisted my arm into supervising again at the Indy car race for 3 days. I have worked for him a few Indy's in the past. Hard work but lots of fun. The heat was almost unbearable but the cold icecreams helped out! I supervised the hairpin section again which has the best view of the track so got some cool pics. Amy and Erika flew in from Auckland on Saturday and hit The [View Full Entry]

The title of this blog should really be: "Attempting to snowboard whilst sliding down the mountain on my a$$"!!! As you can see this was my second ever attempt to snowboard and between the bumps, bruises and wet bottom, I did see some improvement since my attempt in Japan in 2000. A group of us booked a batch in Ohakune and spend 2 days on Mt Ruapehu. We went Turoa ski spot and had a ball. Drew aka Dendro Boy at: helped organise the batch through this excellent online booking service at: . This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home was perfect. [View Full Entry]

Went for a drive out West with my mate from work Hilton and his daughter Christina. We finally got out of all the concrete jungle that is Auckland city and found ourselves driving into the greenery. We passed some beautiful wineries, including Matua Estate and have decided to come back and do a wine trail one weekend. We reached Muriwai Beach after climbing some windy little mountains and the place is amazing. Beautiful beaches and interesting rock formations. We walked along the beach and dunes, climbed the rocks, looked a t Gannet colonies, drove to lookouts and enjoyed the fresh air! [View Full Entry]

Rushed back home for 10 days and ended up with a bad case of sinus which the flight set off, so ended up just chilling out most of the time. Caught up with a few friends and I'm so sorry to those of you I missed! Dad and his Partner are looking after a caravan park on the Tweed Coast so spent some time there fishing and playing with their cute watch dog Nelson. Went to Mum's friends place for BBQ and DVD night on their home theatre which was great fun. Went to Marriott Surfers Paradise Resort's Benihana Teppanyaki Restaurant [View Full Entry]
