Made it home without a hitch this time and dam Emirates are good. There were 400 passengers on the plane but it was so comfortable. Good food and entertainment. A lil slow on the drinks but who can complain when they are free!! Got in late and slept for the big next day ahead. My beautiful niece's 1st birthday party! Jason and his upstairs neighbours decked out their whole flat and backyard as a giant ship and had the biggest and bestest pirate party in history!!! The rum punch nearly knocked my titties off but not as much as the great effort in outfits and display that everyone went to. You can always trust Erika to put on a good party! She has the perfect bachelorette pad and huge balcony or "deck" as they call it hear sounding like "dick". What to wear??? Finn and I drove out to Savemart which is a massive secondhand store and found the perfect Morticia Adams black long velvety dress before climbing One Tree Hill. Two red wines, a tonne of eye make up and 40 minutes of hair straightening later I was ready to go to the party. Went to Hayley's and found her dying her hair black. Went to the South Island for the first time with Erika and her parents. We stayed in their time share resort on Lake Wanaka. It had a hot spa for relaxing after skiing, tennis courts and bicycles. I learnt to ski! I took 2 days of lessons and by the second day I was going down the slope by myself!!! So much for all the horrible hours and injuries received trying hopelessly to learn the snow boarding. Skiing is easier and safer!
