Hi, we're 2 thirty-somethings who've decided that it's about time we saw a bit of the world.
We're not away for long, but we intend to do the best we can to cram everything in to 10 weeks..... Watch this space to see if we achieve it!
For 2 weeks we'll be joined by our friend Kim - the entries may become a bit more weird during those weeks - those of you who know her will understand, and those of you that don't will soon learn!
Also along for the adventure is a special little friend who has travelled with us before, and you'll be able to "spot" him in some of the photos we put on the blog....
Anyway that's us - we'll let you know how the trip's progressing, if we're not too busy having more fun than is good for us!!

South Island Update

Greetings from sunny New Zealand, yes okay so it's raining again but it has been sunny most of the time, honest! Back on the North Island to spend a couple of days with Mike and Paula before moving on to Australia. We would highly recommend the B&B of Mike and Paula, washing done for you, meals cooked, copious amounts of wine (or currently bellini's), and a chauffer driven service.... definitley 4 star, and no you can't have the addrress or phone number, that's only for special people! Hi guys! Hope you all had a great Christmas and thanks for drinking my allowance Heather H! Where do we start? So far NZ has been adventure, adventure, adventure! Okay taking it in order, we got back from the beautiful Bay of Islands to sunny Auckland and got taken out on a boat belonging to Quentin, a friend of Mike's around Auckland Harbour. I then drove the boat heading straight for Auckland Harbour bridge at high speed, the boat started bouncing just a touch and I was thrown into the drivers seat, I had been driving the boat standing up... hmmm. Hello possums! Oops sorry wrong country, but we have seen possums so it kind of counts. Right for the first time we have unlimited access to a computer so we are going to backtrack a bit, in fact we are going back to the States for a brief visit. Denise has been behaving badly again you will all be pleased to hear, apparently it was a fat American called Dave, round 2 tonight?! Sure it had something to do with the cocktails. Photos - Finally....

For a change this is Kimley's blog! Well on arrival found that we had no convertible car - long and short of it, Dense and Jane could only fit one suitcase in the boot which would have meant me clinging on to the boot lid with one hand and two more cases with the other!! Cape Cod - Day 10? 11? For all of you wondering who Francis is...... he's a close personal friend who has travelled with us before, and refused to be left at home when the opportunity arose to travel the globe. New England Update - Finally!!

Dear all, Sorry this has been a long time coming! We've kinda been away from civilisation for a while.... Anyhoo, so far so good - New York was nuts, completley crazy but lots of fun! An M&M shop with four floors...only in America! Thanksgiving parade was pretty cool and was a beautiful warm day to watch too. Couldn't go up the Empire State building though because there was no visibilty... doh!
