1st Day - Bangkok

After seeing Jake off to NZ, I spent the day at Cogee Bay with Jase before my flight. The sun was shining, and the ocean was teh perfect temperature for my first swim in about 12 months in sea. Had a great day, apart from the goodbyes. Met Fiona & Lou, my travel companions at the airport (they flew from NZ)...all very convienient and easy. Our first day in Thailand has been a real eyeopener for 3 green travellers. We have had a lot of fun though. The taxis are colourful, the food is really different. We visited a snake farm (will try and get pictures on soon), sorted out the metro system, and caught a few taxis. Looked at street stalls, and sussed out the city. Tumut, NSW

The begining is always a logical place to start. Seen as we have not had many visitors to Tumut, here's an update. It is a small country town of somewhere between 7,000-11,000 people. Jake and I are right into our innercity living, so are in the CBD, a 4 minute walk from our desks @ work. It is at least a 10 minute walk until you are close enough to the countryside to see cows and suchlike. It is hot and it is cold....in the past 2 weeks we have suddenly had to cope with temperatures ranging between 30-40 degrees celcius to a sudden nasty drop of temperatures in the 9-20 degree range...ouch!
