After sitting on the plane with a couple who had seen and done more in Newcastle in one weekend than I have in my whole 25 years of living here (i.e my whole life), I decided to tour all the sights of Newcastle and the surrounding areas (and other places) and keep a blog.

After waking up with a monster hangover and debating on wether or not to actually get out of bed or not. I decide that today would be a good day to start my tour of Newcastle. Even though I have lived hear all my life there were loads of place sin the city centre that I had never been to or taken the time to look at. My first stop was Blackfriars and the City walls, then it was off the Laing Art Gallery. I really enjoyed the Laing, I thought it was much better than the Baltic which is where I went to next. As my alarm went off at 6.00am on Saturday morning I was very tempted to roll over and go back to sleep but after making a big song and dance about climbing the second highest peak in Yorkshire yesterday at work I knew I would have to go through with it or I would never live it down. I set off with my mam and aunty for the 2 1/2 hour drive to Ingleborough, and yes for those of you who know me I did sleep all the way down.
