3 DAYS IN MILAN mum and i at the moment are in milan . we are awaiting eraldo (our cousin) to ring so we can catch the tube to SAN DONATO and then we head back to recoaro terme for NATALE . dad has been calling to know where the christmas presents are that mum had bought before leaving . mum didnt buy any ... hahahaha during our stay in milan . i pretended to be mum tour guide of the DUOMO and the GALLERIA VITTORIO EMANUELLE II . i wasnt making it up . i bought a book on milan and was reading from it . i sorta got over it when i noticed PRADA , LOUIS VITTON AND GUCCI . mum and i went into prada and had a look around , fairly ... read more

Hi everyone, We travelled to Cortona on the train yesterday and after a few translation problems got here in one piece. Couldn't catch the bus from Recoaro Terme due to a landslide, so one of the relatives, Silvano, took us along these back mountain roads with steep drops to meet up with the bus further down the mountain. Very scarey and I think that I will let Samantha sit in the front seat from now on.... After changes trains and actually finding the right platform we ended up in Arrezo and another change to get to Cortona. This very old town is extremely beautiful - very traditional built in the 14th centre. The town itself is surrounded by a stone wall used to protect from attack. Finally made it and getting into relaxation mode. Not as cold as we thought, so all of the clothes that we brought, we could have left at home. Will add more later Deb and Sam.... read more
