I am guess 1 degree or http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Wiltshire/Salisbury/blog-405073.html A Royal afternoon Winsor Castle and our first day in London It was our last day on the road so to speak. We were handing back the car or Holly as well called it due to the sat nav voice. We named it Holly as it reminded us of Holly from Red Dwarf We packed up our belongings said goodbye to the lady at the hotel whom we had had a big chat with the day before and headed off for Windsor Castle. The plan was to drive the 1.5hr drive to the castle explore http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Berkshire/Windsor/blog-405063.html Body Worlds and our last day in London Today is officially our last day in London and the UK. We have called this British Isle home for the last 3 weeks. As much as I have loved London I am ready to move on however Tom would like to stay a little longer. Echoing what we have said before there is just so much to see and only one pair of legs each albeit tired ones at thatOur last day was partly spent downstream at the O2 Arena viewin http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/London-City/blog-405061.html Cairo Walk like an Egyptian As you can see I have started to add some Egypt photos. We arrived in Egypt tonight around 10pm didn't get through checks until after 11pm and arrived at hotel at midnight. As most of you know Tom is a bit of a history buff and I will have to admit that I am too however I cannot retain all the information that Tom does but I suppose he is not called the Minister of Useless information for nothing FYI good team member for trivia nightsIt was going to be a long day as we had a 3 hour drive to Normandy and back ahead http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Lower-Normandy/blog-400336.html Paris Day 2 A picnic in Paris checking out the views from the Eiffel Tower and admiring Notre Dame Cathedral Today was our first full day in Paris and I now know why the French say lsquooui ouirsquohellipor lsquowee weersquo all the time because that is all I have seen men do on shop steps or what they think are quiet street corners. Who pees on the footpathAfter a much needed sleep in FYI this is the best hotel bed we have had thus far we made our way down to the Eiffel Tower. As we wa http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Ile-de-France/Paris/blog-400318.html Hill Top Beatrix Potter's house coming soon http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Cumbria/Lake-District/blog-400047.html Venice. one of the most beautiful cities in the world Our second day in Venice was spent exploring the aquatic city some more checking out the famous Rialto bridge and shoppingWe hopped on a waterbus and road over to Lido to check out the place. It was weird seeing a place with cars as Venice has no cars there are no roads it is all water. We walked around for a bit and sat on the foreshore and watched the world go by. We rode another water bus http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Veneto/Venice/blog-400040.html Paris La VilleLumire The City of Lights with Brenda and Eddie It is 8am and we have been up since 5. These roads make them look like 4 laned highways Nuts is all I can say. Many times we had to flip in our side mirrors to be able to http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Cumbria/Lake-District/blog-398141.html Salisbury Castles in the sky Old Sarum and Old Wardour Castle It was a slow start this morning our big days had finally caught up with us and we succumbed to the snooze button and had ourselves a little sleep in however holiday sleep ins are not like the weekend ones we would have at home. We were up by 9am and ready by 10am to go castle exploring around the Salisbury shire. On the way out we met a lovely hotel staff member.
