"Darren has a desire to learn, but not just from books, he wants to touch, smell, taste, hear and see the world. He loves interacting with people from different backgrounds and cultures and likes the challenge of getting to remote and unusual places. He has an addiction to the adrenaline that goes through your body when facing uncertainty in challenging situations. He is an outgoing and confident traveller that is always looking to take a step beyond the norm, often leaving him to face bizarre and unusual situations. After winning two national academic awards and a degree in Computer Science, Darren decided to work for a software company before his first adventure taking him through South East Asia where he discovered his passion for writing and photography. As his thirst for travel expanded he found himself travelling again through Africa, Asia and South America. Darren has now completed two 12 month around the world trips and would love the opportunity to do a third. When on the road Darren regularly writes his travel blog and practices his photography.
