3rd June Sunday Trondheim Today Bob and Shân left us. Taxi driver Rune came for them at 9 am which was the exact time Bob had booked him. To get out to the Airport which takes about 40 minutes, it will cost them around 900 NOK. Lars,Val and I had a very lazy day. We saw Bob and Shân off and then I went back to bed, didn’t sleep very well, in fact I stayed awake most of the night. Had a couple of hours. Lars took all the bedding and towels to wash and dry while I was sleeping. Val I think had a bit of a walk. Later Val helped Lars wash the deck. It was neccessary as we haven’t cleaned it for ages. We had a lazy lunch. The fish Val had ... read more

List of Ports: 18th May Friday Flaam to Laanefjorden 19th May Saturday Laanefjorden to Kjeringevaagen (NW Nesoeyna) 20th May Sunday Kjeringevaagen to Floroe 9:50 am We all had breakfast before departure, don’t know what to expect outside the cove. Rained and blew most of the night but at the moment it’s clear blue skies, a little windy. Lars has put out just the Jib and we are doing 8 - 10 knots. Winds are not as high as yesterday but we are going with the wind and it’s alot more comfortable. The countryside is changing with alot more farms scattered thoughtout the small islands. The islands are lower than in the fjords. 16:05 pm We arrived at Floroe quite early. The harbour has been expanded with floating jetties. It looks funny looking at the chart ... read more

Marstrand - Lillesand/Norway 8:05 am Wednesday Departure finally. Weather’s cleared up but the winds are nearly like yesterday. After breakfast we departed Marstrand where we had alot of shelter. Motored out and put up the main sail early in the morning. Winds are cold. Val has been under the weather. Very sea-sick. I’ve just been sleeping. Lars put a plaster for sea-sickness behind my ear last night. A bit tired. 13:30 pm Winds died out so we.ve taken in the genoa and are motoring for awhile. Our heading is Norway, ETA Mandal approx 12 hours. 00:40 am Thursday We didn’t make it to Mandal. Half way thru the afternoon the waves started to pick up and were about 3 - 4 meters high. The front of the boat hit so hard that everything shuddered. We ... read more
