Hey Everyone, I haven't been on this blog in a long time, but I got an e-mail from them and it reminded me about it. Things have been great in Miami. I have already done some diving, been to the Dominican Republic for field work, and been getting my appartment all set up. Also, I leave on a research cruise to the Bahamas a week from today. I will give you all links to my facebook photos of the Dominican Republic and some underwater photos if you want to see. Hope everyone is doing well. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2298610&l=465c9&id=5701930 More dominican Republic picture [View Full Entry]

Well it has been an amazing 3 months but all great things must come to an end. I would encourage anyone with the means and time to explore the world. It is not always easy or cheap, but I have memorizes that will last a life time. Anyways, I hope you enjoy more of these pictures. Alex and I had a lot of fun in Amsterdam. There is so much culture and history there it is quite extraordinary. It was interesting going to the Anne Frank house. The Van Gogh museum was fantastic and definitely one of the best museums I [View Full Entry]

Hey Everyone, Alex and I have just arrived in Amsterdam after a 10 hour night train ride here. I will try and post a few pictures of each of the places I have been to give you a better idea of what you might have missed while this site was down. Unfortunately, I can not post the Canyoning pictures (which are amazing pictures which you should check out when you have a chance to see me or if I can post them later). Now, a recap since my last e mail. Our last two days in Munich were a lot of [View Full Entry]

Hey Everyone, I am sorry that I have not posted anything for a while. I have a good reason...the entire website crashed. I have lost a lot of my travel blogs and at the moment do not have the time to restore them. Currently I do not think I am able to post any pictures either. I am really sorry. Since the last time I have posted, Alex and I have done so many amazing things. We spent some time in the mountains of Slovenia, in a tent camp. We met a lot of cool travelers and went Canyoning (I have [View Full Entry]

Me and a waterfall
So we have finally arrived in Slovenia. That's right, Alex and I (although I did all the driving) have gone by car from Dubrovnik all the way to Postojna, Slovenia. The drive along the coast of Croatia was very beautiful. We had the opportunity to stop in various random towns and cities and really see what the country is like. They have a very interesting culture and I have enjoyed learning about it. After a relaxing morning at the beach on Brac, Alex and I drove to Supetar to catch the ferry to Split. We spent a few hours wandering [View Full Entry]

In the air...
Well I am currently on Brac Island, in the Adriatic sea. Things are going well for Alex and I after many adventures. It has only been a few days since my last posting but it feels like it has been a long time. The bus from Kotor to Dubrovnik was awful. It was completely full and we ended up having to sit on the floor for half the trip. The bus got in nearly 4 hours late. We ended up taking a nap and deciding to stay an extra day in Dubrovnik to slow things down a bit. Dubrovnik is a [View Full Entry]

Greetings from the newest country in the world. After finally getting a haircut from a women that does not speak language I decided to get online to try and get a car rental for Alex and my travel in Croatia. While we really enjoyed Belgrade, it was time to move on. The train from Belgrade to Bar, Montenegro was long but very pretty. We sat next to some cute Serbian girls the entire way and talked with them the whole time. It was a lot of fun. Then we spent $50 euro on a cab for a hour and a [View Full Entry]

Adventures in Serbia Europe » Serbia » Belgrade By Dave090 July 19th 2007 David WeinsteinSo I have been in Belgrade for two days now and the first thing that comes to mind is the heat. Also, it is not as cheap as we expected. It is however, a very charming city with a lot of friendly people and nice sites. I would highly recommend it if you are in [View Full Entry]

Well the end of one portion of my traveling has come to a close. Today I said goodbye to the entire Weinstein clan. We had a nice time together in the Greek Isles. Crete seems like a great place but unfortunately, partly due to weather and planning, I just did not get to see a lot of it. It was nice walking through the main city of Heraklion with the family though. Today I flew from Crete to Athens with Debra, then I said goodbye to my travel partner/sister and flew on Jat Airline (the Yugoslavian airway) to Belgrade. The [View Full Entry]

Well after an interesting few days, the Weinstein family has finally made it out of Santorini. Not that it was a bad place. On the contrary, we had a wonderful time. The geography was absolutely breathtaking. We had a great time just going to the beaches and taking it easy. We also enjoyed some of the Archaeological sites such as Ancient Thira. The day we were going to leave Santorini though, the winds became very strong. They ended up canceling our ferry out of town. So we said, oh well....another day on a beautiful Island. We promptly got to work, [View Full Entry]
