No mention of the jelly fish! Glad you had a wonderful time. Am looking forward to reading all your blog over the next few weeks and even though Ross still thinks real camping is digging your own dunny and pitching a tent in the middle of nowhere, I think I've convinced him to start me off camping (again) with a local camp site with showers and flushing loos to see how we go with Jackson.
I'm also planning to look into the geocaching so once done I'll let you know ready for your visit back with us in March. Apparently Ross' Dad has a hand held GPS for fishing so we can borrow that to have some fun.
Looking forward to reading more. Hope you stay safe and keep laughing.
House swap I usually lurk on Kangaroojack's blog with the occasional dip into yours. Glad you are enjoying Australia.
Sylvia and I did a house/car swap for 3 months with a couple from Brighton last year. It worked out really well and we can highly recommend it. Happy to discuss off-line if you want.

Prost - ein toast!! We enjoyed Wolf Blass wine this Christmas (actually we like it anytime of the year!). We visited Hahndorf a few times while we were staying in Adelaide and went especially to see the Christmas lights on one occassion. xxx Mum K
Thought you were in hiding!!! Helllllooooo!
We left you a lovely message for your anniversary and we even sang a Happy Birthday to Mark on Monday!!! We've sent you an email with our number on it to your travelling email address.
Can't wait to hear from you, love to you all. And tell Ken WE CAN FISH HERE!!! x x x x
HI Hi there it is great to see you on the blog. My phone died and I do not have your email or phone number please please message me so I can contact you we miss you both terribly !!!!!!!!
Which wine to choose? - cheers! I've just been checking the map and realise where you are at the moment - lovely countryside and great choice of vineyards - we stayed at Nuriootpa for a couple of nights which can't be too far from where you are now. Beautiful blue sky here but sadly it's freezing outside. xxx Mum
'Winter' Wonderland I thought I could be clever and add a photo to this comment but never mind - imagine a white winter 'wonderland' and transport yourselves back to Moira. We haven't built the snowman yet though! xxx Mum
Darn, or something a bit worse So sorry to hear about the caravan. Like you said, if it was going to happen you were in an OK place. Not that it needed happening.
Hope by now that the repairs have been done and all is well.
Have a Happy New Year and good and safe travels in 2010.
pesky 7yr olds Squara/Nige
As predicted pesky 7yr old claimed victory during the Xmas Wii challenge. He's looking forward to your return so he can at least have new victims (I mean opponents), warning though I'm not sure who sulks more if victory is uncertain... Simon or Charlie Brown!!
The olds are off to see Dad K today & your mum, thinking of you all.
Happy New Year to you both, looking forward to reading about how you're going to celebrate Aussie style.
lots of love

Perfect! Gday..The spread fit for royality ..lol.. Great to see your having such a great time both.
I'd of given the sprouts a miss myself there the devils food haha!

Sprout me up baby! Morning Coulsells! Just been having a quick look at the Wild Bunch site to 'meet' the new owner of your old gal! Good to see she'll be coming back out and that she'll have an easier time on the burnouts ;-)
Not had confirmation on the frog situation, hopefully will get the all clear and you'll be able to visit the summerhouse / chalet - apparently it's big enough for people to sleep in so we'll be adverstising for a lodger asap!!
Nice to see you both dressed for dinner! What a fab spread and good to see that sprouts were most definitely on the menu! Not sure jellybabies are 'useful' though! Loving the pink skirt chick!
How rude though, you pop away for a few weeks and ask your folks to housesit and they completely ruin your garden!!!!
I bet even the frogs have moved out!

21 again! Well I should have shouted it out whilst I'm still under 40!! Next year the plan is for wakeboarding in the Lake District .... apparently anyway!!!
P.S Santa found us too! He bought Andy a hammock, but he could not understand why Andy was so upset, apparently he wrote Landcruiser on his letter to Santa and Santa misread it.... never mind maybe next year!

Happy Birthday Hi guys, Happy Birthday Sar hope you had a great day, we did send you a birthday card but it went to Port Lincoln National Park and obviously you had to move so it must have missed you completely! Ooops... or is that just a cop out, sorry we did not know it was your birthday.... hope you can forgive us, we will make it up to you when we see you (soooon!) travel safe.....

Whats Sydney Done? Looks like you had a great time guys, wish we could have spent christmas together. Dars cooking looks excellent as usual, we didn't have brussel sprouts here, last christmas I had to hunt high and low for brussels! Garden looks nice and what a great summer house, you will be able to sit in there every night with a glass of wine and reminisce about all the great things that you have seen and all the great people that you have met on this journey.
Take care both of you, really hope to catch up in the New Year ( I still have that piece of Topaz waiting for you Sarah!)
Lots of Love

Merry Xmas Merry Xmas you two.
Even in the most desolate of places you both manage to have a brilliant time.
You truly are a special couple.
Best wishes
Love Tony & Paula
Are you smarter than THE seven year old So, how did the Wii challenge go?! Hope you all had a lovely Christmas, thanks so much for the messages, it's great to hear from you all - we're always thinking about you .... mainly when we're on a long walk or on the bikes - I don't know how you do it!!!!
Here's to a very Happy New Year all round, give everyone our love and we'll see you soon.
Love you all very much

Christmas Sprouts! Well done to you Darryl for cooking such a splendid Christmas dinner in the bush - we hope you ate all your sprouts up!! I think we'll need you along with us on our trip as chef and Sarah as blog writer! xxx Mum K
Listening to Advice Hi Darryl and Sarah, well written blog Sarah! It is not easy to write about such a sensitive subject when it affects so many people and of course devastates so many lives. I am really glad that you told us about it before we managed to see it all unfold on the news, it was dreadful to see the news reel. We are both glad that you took heed of the Rangers advice, it is never worth taking the risk, even if they were wrong and nothing happened, I know that I would prefer to be right out of the way when it happens.
I guess you can always rely on Darryls sense of humour to help lighten the atmosphere.
Hope Christmas Day went well for you both, and equally hope that Santa managed to find you, he must have a tricky time with people who move around.
Take care both

Tractors Hi Chick,
How are you? We have been catching up on your blog this week as its been a while since we have read it, oops must try harder. We reckon that we could spend a fair few hours in the motor musuem & tractor musuem too. Its right up our street lol & its just like the tractors that we see at the steam fair. We all hope that you have a good christmas & speak to you soon :)
Love the rugrats & lisa
Amazing! Well, thank God you and everybody in Port Lincoln are safe - it must have been a terrifying experience. What some dramatic photos! Take extra care and get back home safe! xxx Mum and Dad K
Welcome, come in, take a seat and enjoy the view!
We were lucky enough to be in a position to make one of our dreams come true and it's hard to believe that we can now say we've 'been there and done that! It was the sort of adventure that 'normal people' like us could only dream about, taking a year out of work and travelling around Australia in a caravan towed by a 4WD. Somehow though we managed to turn it into a reality and between April 28th 2009 and April 26th 2010 that's exactly what we did.
Our beautiful home and much loved cat in Moira, Derbyshire, UK were looked after by fami... full info
