MT Canobolas memories Orange is my home town and I had forgotten the gorgeous view from the top of Mt Canobolas.
As a teenager we used to ride horses up the side tracks through he bush while the boys tried to beat us to the top on their motor bikes.
Many a night spent camping at the top in the back of a van and just checking out the town below at night was pretty amazing.
I must take my boys up there on our next visit. It is amazing the things we take for granted and easily forget. Thanks for your blog bringing back some wonderful memories.

congratulations! David & Pat,
Sadly, we have just finished the last of (y)our Mediterranean style olives. They were absolutely delicious. We bought them at the Bull & Barrel last year, and I'm looking forward to buying more at this year's festival. Thanks for the great taste! Best wishes for future batches! ..andrea
Your folks I believe the parents of one of you folks are currently touring Australia.

We might just try that! It's not looking likely we're going to catch anything over here so we might just have to resort to the canal at home!! Maybe you will have better luck over here - the rod will be in the caravan waiting for you to try!! x x x
Fishing Practise Darryl, just make sure you bring the fishing rod home with you to check out the local fish pond - you might have better luck there!!! xx Mum K
Welcome, come in, take a seat and enjoy the view!
We were lucky enough to be in a position to make one of our dreams come true and it's hard to believe that we can now say we've 'been there and done that! It was the sort of adventure that 'normal people' like us could only dream about, taking a year out of work and travelling around Australia in a caravan towed by a 4WD. Somehow though we managed to turn it into a reality and between April 28th 2009 and April 26th 2010 that's exactly what we did.
