That is how you pronounce Millau, the town that I have decided I will one day be mayor of. Millau has everything you need, as the wine degustationer put it,"it has all de commodities, de vegetables, de cheese, it is nice" I liked the wine man and he let me try many wines for free, which made me happy. April says he had bad breath, but I think she was jealous. Also they have a little market place like a miniature granville island thats undercover and open from 8-2pm wednesday to sunday. I fell in love with a little brasserie cafe in the corner of the market that serves tasty tapas and moules for 6 euros. Its a family run cafe, the husband walks around in a semi disorganized state welcoming all the people to the ... read more

First off, a public announcement. I regret to inform you that the 2008 Sponge Bath tour is being cut short due to creative differences (April ate too much Biscotti and became beligerent). I would like to give a big shout out to Paula, Aprils mom, for helping to sort out loose ends as british airways decided that there wasnt any conceivable reason to have their offices open on weekends. I mean nobody flies on weekends but philistines and blasphemers, do they? Anyhow our day in Castellane, a pretty little village town surrounded by mountains. At some point in the night I received a bug bite and thought nothing of it. It was an interesting little place and we did some shopping in the market the next morning, got a giant melange bag of olives for supercheap, ... read more

well lots of things to say now. First off we are back in France and I am sitting in a little cafe in a village called sisteron halfway between Grenoble and Nice in the Provence region. Last I blogged, we were in Geneva, which turned out to be a very bad representative of switwerland. The night of the last blog we decided to watch the match in the fanvillage where many campsites remained empty even up to the day of the match. While in town though we saw a lot of Portuguese supporters roaming the streets and the fanzone in town was pretty packed. The fan village was eerily empty and we sat on the grass in front of a huge outdoor screen with maybe 50 other people, lots of kids. I decided to give up ... read more

Now in Geneva, after a verz wet 2 dazs in Lzon. Dans brain teayer of the daz. Can zou tell which 2 letters are switched on a swiss kezboard? Anzwhoo, we are stazing in the fan village for the eurocup in geneva which isnt a half bad deal cuy its prettz close to town center. Portugal plazs turkez tonight, maz trz to get some scalped tickets, but well have to see. Geneva isnt reallz what i was expecting, seems verz new like it almost might as well be in North America, complete with scuzzy looking condo buildings from the 70s etc, yet they have no problems charging 6 CDN dollars for a coffee at the cafes. My addiction to Orangina has now worn off, after many many bottles. The plan is to go check out the ... read more

now in lyon, pretty good for a little shopping town, but I dont shop, so staring into windows hopelessly at own reflection. We are moving pretty fast, unlike my wpm on this crazy french keyboard which is frustratingly slow. Who needs 16 keys of punctuation at your fingertips? Anyways lets play catch up. left paris and stopped in chartres for the night, visited the cathedral when nobody was there, a nez experience, then proceeded to get lost and time was ticking down to gates closing at camp site, but April saved the day and found our car. I will now type with no apprehension for keyboard starting noz. Next stop zqs in Jargequ on the loire. I got to plqy soccer for the first ti,e in q zhile and was despicable compared to them. Never found ... read more

Yes I went to see some Dali today, Melty clock sculptures and everything. Even bought a dali finger puppet to harass april with when she isn't participating in surreality. So it's been a while since I last blogged. A cliched phrase for me now and will probably appear in every blog from hence forth. Last I left you I had finished canoeing, since then spent some time in London stuffing myself at indian veg, a cheap indian buffet filled with great information on why it is great to be a vegetarian. For instance, did you know that Miss Phillipinnes 1994 was a vegetarian? Thought not, but so are many other great people too along with pictures. Much fatness and bloating ensued, so April and I went to Glasgow at the beckoning of one Miss Vicki Sherratt. ... read more
