Well, 2010 is passing slow, April is here and Mai is just a matter of time, but March was one of my best months so far, due to several reasons.... The snow started melting and we had positive temperatures FINAAALLLLYYYY!!!!!! Now in April we still have some snow here and there but at least i dont have to scratch the windshield every morning for 20 minutes....Spring is almost here (summer in some parts of the world) and i am back to life, days are getting longer and nights are shorter and shorter....the Baltic Summer will be here soon... As a migrating bird that i am....i also started moving around. First stop...Romania, for one week of business meetings, but besides that i had time to meet some of my friends, my lil' sister and to enjoy ... read more

Well, after 26 years i managed to go to Russia. Oh yea....St Petersburg, i always wanted to see this city, with old and new. I always wanted to see what is the feeling of being in Russia, how do the people live there and most of all...some places that i have seen only in pictures. So at the end of November we packed some clothes with us (Me, Mari, Judith, Christina and Vanda) jumped in 2 buses and...final destination mother Russia. As you would expect reaching the Russian border you will be treated with disrespect and you will be body checked, they will ask about what you eat that day and where are the drugs....not really, they have this cute dog that checks your backpack and your passport is scanned...and .....voila...welcome to Russia... I arrived ... read more

It has bee some time since i wrote on the blog and i am doing it now because during this weekend i had experienced something very strange that made me think about a lot of things. This has nothing to do with traveling, seeing new places or meeting new cultures, this is a picture of how Romania looks in my mind somehow.. Friday afternoon, after coming back from work and seeing some apartments i went straight to bed, for a quick nap, just because i was a bit tired and i wanted to go out in the evening. During this quick nap i had a very strange dream...i am not the kind of person that looks for simbols in a dream but this one made me think a bit about the image that the online ... read more

And here it comes, the first weekend out of the city. Well, i went out with AIESEC for a transition party, EB to EB. The location was 45KM out of the city in an area with "hills" and all that the nature can offer, lakes, woods, green grass, beautiful sky, bbq, sauna and great people :). The idea was simple, one night out with 30 people, bbq, sauna and fun, The new EB starts the term and the rest of the time is fun and relax...and that it was... The location was great, cool place in the middle of the nature, with a small lake for swimming after the sauna and a cozy place to sleep and have "emotional take over". Talking about take over, it was in Estonian, so about 30 people were in ... read more

At this point i am feeling my reverse culture shock and it is not comfortable at all :). I am at the anger stage and i really get pissed very easy. But i will not talk about that, i will tell you a few words about my last month and a half in Romania, show you some pictures and tell you about the decision made for this year. So, in the last month i managed to travel a bit for some conferences and i spent a lot of time with AIESEC people. I spent the new year eve together with some crazy people that can make you forget about all the problems you have or you had in the last year. I also enjoy working with this people, joking and making fun of each other ... read more

Most of us come to the point where we need to take decisions that will influence us for the rest of our life, it starts with small ones, what mobile operator should i chose? where should i go this summer? should i buy this car or this car? and at one point it gets to "WHAT'S NEXT?" For a person that spent the last years traveling, being away from "home" the question that applies is "should i stay in my home town and do something or travel, explore, live...wander... The problem is that decisions are taken by both mind and heart, during the day i can see the reasons to stay, to do something here and i feel satisfied with the idea of staying, but as soon as night is falling...my heart starts crying for ... read more

As i was telling you i spent my last month in a place called Druskininkai. south of Lithuania very close to the Belorussian border, sometimes our phones were telling us that we are in Belarus..So one month there i was spending my time having a "working vacation" after one full year, so i was there as "camp instructor" and "English teacher". The best part out of it is that i had a lot of fun, i met new people and made new friends some maybe even more than friends, i discovered people that become very close to me and now that the camp is over i miss them. For 4 weeks i had the chance to be child again, and to do things as i used to some time ago....sure...my clothes are all...destroyed...but now i ... read more
