They have Glade plug-ins, with the bottles of liquid, in every room. The spring rooms are Fresh Linen. We were told Glade is better than AirWick, and I now have a motor home that smells like gingerbread! All the rooms on this camp have the Glades in them. Happy Thanksgiving, Margo! I love you. |

Your 10 hours is very fast compared to us. We arrived ahead of the winter storm on Tuesday. Working every day to get things cleaned and stuff put away. We have another week of fun then back to the real world. The Faulhaber's are expecting a boy baby in late Feb. Who knew!! This should be as interesting as the twins. Thousands of people from the upper east coast descend to Florida after Thanksgiving and stay until around Easter. I also know about the horns - both our friend who lived in Miami and Jess in Tampa have worn out horns from honking so much! |

How can a three letter word end up with that many vowels. You are also correct about the churches. There are at least 4 different types of Baptist (including Primative Baptist). | 28th July 2008 Jean | The Real Story! - From: This place is going to the dogs! Hi, it's me, Jean. I am here to see that the true smoothie story is heard! Not that Vic lied, she just has a shorter version! I was busy working at the computer and Bob was pounding away in the new kennel while Vic once again was creating a soothie to challenge our taste buds. ( She is the only person I know that can add just about anything and make it taste "wonderful".) Anyway, I was plugging away at the keyboard when asked if the cherries had pits, I answered that they did, not realizing that they were already a major ingredient of the new smoothies! Vic responds "ooooooooh" just as I hear a horrible grinding noise coming from the blender. Needless to say, we giggled and spit and giggled and spit all the way to the barn. Out intend was not to burden Bob with our troubles, so we tried to surpress the giggles and Vic presented his smoothie with a smile on her face.....and we waited for his first sip......being the nice man that he is, Bob swallowed and smiled and we could see his mind mulling over the texture, racing to put a name to it. Meanwhile, Vic and I nearly choked when we saw the look on his face!! The three of us had a very interesting conversation as we sipped and spit our way to the bottom. Oh, yes, the bottom!! If you can imagine what the silt from the delta would feel like in your mouth then you would know what we were dealing with at the bottom of out glass! Yes, another wonderful memory that I will cherish all winter long while I wait for my friends to return to Project Antelope Creek next year........you will be back, won't you??? |

Our first winter in Utah and they are getting more snow than they have had in about 25 years. The snow pack in the mountains is about 150%of normal. I shovel (blow) the driveway at least four days a week but like the people there, we shouldn't complain. This area has had very little moisture for the past several years. We go there in the winter quite often to get a few games in while it is cold and snowy in Montana. We actually like Palm Desert better as far as the shopping and restaurants go. We'll be there the end of January. Also, a comment on San Diego. I did a city tour there once and was informed that was all desert until they created the big aquaduct for water and brought in all the palm trees and other vegitation. None of the green stuff you see there is native to the area. We love San Diego too - for the same reasons as we love Palm Springs only add the addition of the beaches and Sea World!!! We toured the aircraft carrier that is docked permanently there (can't remember the name), but it was very interesting. Loved your kite pictures! I haven't seen that type before. Two years ago I had a meeting in Palm Springs and after two days of looking at the barren mountains decided the palm trees and beautiful golf courses would not be enough to keep me there. Twice Q and I have been to San Diego, one for a conference where we got to do a lot of sight seeing and 4 hr adventure on a whale watching boat (don't waste you money - the only whales we saw were in our imagination!). Then this Spring our cruise departed from San Diego. I loved waiting to depart and watch the planes fly in and sail boats drifting by. The city is beautiful. Be sure and do Coronado. |

Some of them are on the walkways, some are on the hiking trails, and some are on the roads, but they may be hanging in the trees, as well as standing on posts. I just found one in the lobby yesterday...it's a suggestsion box, and it's hanging about 10 feet off the ground, and is upside down! Obviously our suggestions are important to them! And the lumber company that dropped off the wood didn't do them any favors by placing it where they did. We finished cleaning and resetting the gift shop, and yesterday Wanda and I worked in the flower beds, and Nancy and Germaine sewed rags out of raggedy towels. Today we all four cleaned one of the houses that a staff member is moving into. It took four of us 3 1/2 hours (that's our work day!) and it looks terrific, and smells wonderful! Hey, they call that working! |

| 22nd October 2007 carrell evans | walnuts - From: Nuts to you That is very cool that the English walnuts fall out of the hull! We used to have black walnut trees in our yard in Prosser, WA. They fell with the hull and made such a mess on the ground if you didn't pick them up, because the hulls had to either rot off the nut or be chewed off by the squirrels who then buried them ALL OVER the yard creating quite a washboard for mowing or a forest of little walnut trees. The hulls stained the hands badly. Needless to say, our children hated the "on" years for the walnuts (bi-annually producing) because they had to pick them up. One year our son, John, and his friend took a bucket full and a couple of drivers to the overlook on Horse Heaven hills and...You get the picture. |

Wanda got hit on the head by one, and has a lump there. If they hit the plastic cover on the ceiling vents, it gets your attention for sure! Sometimes they land on the roof and we can hear them roll, but sometimes they hit and stay. The acorns are anywhere from an inch to three inches long. I didn't know they were that big. |

We've been told they are where things were built, but that's so hard to believe when you see how far out into the water they are, and that there are soooo many of them. Of course there are scads more during low tide, but even when the tide is high I wonder what in the world was built clear out there! We saw some at a farmers market that were bigger, and quite spendy, but worth it. The only berries I really know are chokecherries, and you sure don't pick and eat those more than once. They're called CHOKEcherries for a reason! They make a great syrup or jelly though. |

With my relatives that lived in Tacoma and the surrounding area, many had holly bushes and trees. My Grandma would send us some every Christmas. I miss that so much now that she isn't with us any longer. Those little things are such special touches in our traditions. The pictures of the mountain tops also remind me of how the weather was so many times when we visited there. |

I went to the garden nursery to purchase trees and plants when we moved here. I was shocked to see one of the trees that many people plant is a holly tree. I know you are much appreciated- even though you feel you are "receiving", look at how much we needed the RVer's who helped with the parsonage! We had a very hot 4th, but a great turn out in Lambert, and a wonderful "first" community event put on at the church (games, food, fellowship and fireworks). You are missed more than you both know! Our morning devotions are done by a different member of the RVICS team, so whatever that person selects is what the daily devotion is. On Wednesday evenings we have a Bible study which is lead by someone from the project...in this case, it's lead by the college president. We are feeling great, although I'd have to admit, Sara is right about the getting up part! 6:45 comes early! I'm working on getting photos in here...that's a little trickier..... :) |
