Last time we left you on and knife edge, cliffhanger as to where we would go next. After a roll of the dice, we decided that we'd spend more time in Thailand, rather than go Hong Kong. Since were now Bangkok veterans, we headed straight for a tour office to book up a Trekking (thats right Trekking) tour of the Northern highlands around Chiang Mai. One unpleasent, over-night bus journey later, we arrived in Chiang Mai. Sadly, I'd contracted some kind of "Jungle Fever" on the bus journey and so we had to put off the trekking for a day. Hiya and welcome to our final chapter from Vietnam On Sunday we packed up our rucksack again and jumped aboard the tourist "fun" bus for 5 hours to Hue. It was gonna be a whistlestop visit as we were running out of time in Vietnam so after checking into our hotel we set out to explore. After a bit of persuassion from a couple of local Cyclo riders we set off on a tour of the town and the ancient citadel. One of them turned out to be an kung fu master ex-buddist monk that was full of stories. At one [View Full Entry]

Hello Again from Vietnam. Since we left you last, we've been adventuring through the mountains of the Central Highlands. We paid a Local tour guide (Probably to much to be honest) to take us to see "The REAL Vietnam"!! First day we Drove to an area known as Lac Lake. On the way we drove through Pheonix pass, which is where the Americans dropped chemicals (Agent Orange) to destroy all the Trees in an effort to route out Vietnamese rebels. Even 30 odd years on, the whole area is totally barren, with no trees or crops able to grow in the [View Full Entry]

Hello from Nha Trang, Vietnam. We last left you after arriving in Saigon and we've been busy beavers since then! After a couple of lazy days in Saigon we decided to book a couple of local 1 day tours. The first tour was out to the Mekong Delta to experience Life on the river. The Day included a row boat ride along some braches of the Mekong river. It was kinda 'Apocolypse Now', but without the bombs and guns and stuff. We also made friends with a snake and got to sample endless local foods and drinks. The highlight for the [View Full Entry]

Greetings from Thailand. After two weeks on the beach in Goa, we flew up to Mumbai on Monday for some Bollywood action. We checked into our hotel and to say our room was small is an understatement. It was possible to have a shower, sit on the toilet and rest your feet on the bed all at the same time. We know this as Dan actually did it. The first evening we headed down to Chowpatty beach. We had heard bad reports about it, but we really liked it. It is a strech of sand with stalls selling snacks where the [View Full Entry]

We are writing this entry from a secret location and at much risk. We are fugatives, on the run, and this may be the last time we can contact you!! Lucy has stolen a book from the library on the beach!!! We have managed to avoid the feds so far, but who knows how long for.... We last left you after arriving in Baga (Goa). Baga, along with calangute, is kinda considered the "Thompson Package spot'. We expected it to be busier, but it was pretty quiet. Mind you, we did notice 15 Coaches of people leaving hurridly just after we [View Full Entry]

Hi all, After intense public demand, welcome to India mark 2. This time we thought we'd up the jealousy factor a little bit (the attached beach photos should help). We arrived in Goa last Wednesday and checked into a beautiful little bungalow in Palolem (South Goa). The 150 metre walk to the beach was a bit extreme, but we made the best of it!!! For the next few days we pretty much just chilled out on the beach and soaked up some rays - this has lead to a decent tan for Lucy and a distinct lobster red for me!! I [View Full Entry]

Hey Hey! Greetings from India :D Are you sitting comfortably.... We arrived safely in Delhi after a smooth 9 hour flight. Wasn't too bad - had "Interactive Screens". Me being the big baby I am, I spent most of the flight entertained by the Games :D Our first view of India was a Taxi drive to our Hotel - and I can tell you it was an absolute culture shock from word go! The roads are shared by everything, ranging from buses with people on the roof, down to bikes competing to see how many people they could cram on (the [View Full Entry]
