A freezing 'Tashi Delek' to you all!! Tibet - we didn't know much about the place, which only increased the sense of adventure we felt when going in... And an adventure it was. Hmmm, what did we have.... A yak attack, Acute Mountain Sickness & oxygen bottles, a village full of hostile Tibetans, and getting stuck at the border due to political unrest. But was it worth it? A warm Ni Hao to you all, From Shangri-La, a little village on the border of China and Tibet, our latest update: China... a weird and wonderful place!!! We started at the bottom, made our way up to Beijing (the northpole of our travels) and have just hit the bottom again, to slowly get ready for our pilgrimage to Tibet. Hi All!! How are you doing!! It's been a month since our last update, and quite a hectic one it's been. Accompanied by the wonderful Robyne (Daniel's mum), we have covered Vietnam bottom to top, and I can tell you we have made the most of it alright. A beautiful country with beautiful people who (in contrast to the Cambodians) have moved on from the atrocities of their war torn past, and are happily going about their day to day lives. We've been travelling around Cambodia for the last 10 days or so, and the vast differences with Thailand were obvious as soon as we set one foot across the border.
