Great Blog
Hi Danee This is a great informative blog, I am due to go in abt 2 weeks and know nothing abt the country, save for the fact that I have a friend in Bogota it will be just one blind great adventure. Keen to remain safe as I will be travelling by myself and speak no espanol (but I am chinese anyway so not going to get away with anything!) Your blog gives some good ideas on where to go. Pls keep posting! Will check out your site. Thanks David

Hi Danie, My experience was many years back at this point but I would say it still isn't a safe trip for foreigners. If you know someone in Colombia that will go with you, then it would be better but still not necessarily safe. I would say a better idea would be to fly. You can check Aires or Aerorepulibca for relatively affordable flights. Have a fun and safe trip!

Question about the bus
I love your blog entry Danee! I'm going to Bogota in a couple of weeks with my boyfriend and I was wondering if you have any insights into riding the bus from there to Cartagena? I know you said you just didn't speak on the bus as a safety precaution, but it will be obvious we aren't from there (he has bright red hair). I was just wondering if you thought doing the bus trip together would be alright from your experiences? Thanks for the great post!
