I cannot even imagine what it'll be like for it to end. It looks like you two had some amazing experiences and I'm sure you'll travel again. Please write a few more blogs about going back to so called "real" world. |
| 25th February 2009 Dad Walton | Last Comment on an Epic Journey - From: One last treat...! Thought I'd add a last comment, why the hell not. A guy called Euripides once said, "It is a good thing to be rich and a good thing to be strong, but it is a better thing to be beloved of many friends"........ Nic & Budger, they're all waiting for you when you get back. The Old Man of Offley |
| 23rd February 2009 dad walton | Chilling out , again! - From: Relax time and cheap wine!!! Listen up people, make sure you paint the town red when you get to Rio. No quarter, no prisoners, have a terrific time. See you friday, can't wait. Much love from the old man. |
| 17th February 2009 dad walton | Hair today, gone tomorrow - From: Thatīs what I call a shower Hello Budger, Is that really my boy in the photos? With a cursary glance or a purfunctuary butchers, I thought it was a Yetti or at the very least, a wild man of Borneo! Mind you, either one of them would look far more human than you do. They won't let you back in the country Dan! Don't bother trying, your passport photo will be invalid! No resemblence, suppose I'd better prepare the UK consulate out there to expect a problem with a certain young traveller, when he tries to get home! I'll get a de-contamination area ready, outside in the garden and order a sheep shearer in case you do get back! Wonder how long it will take to get you house trained! The Falls look incredible, bet you had a blast out there, not surprised you both got soaked. Stay lucky, people, much love from the Old Man. Blimey O'reilly, you two really have been away far too long! |

Coming home ain't that bad, is it? Just think of what you've both done, it's an incredible journey, and you've done it all by yourselves. Well done, we're all very proud of you. Monumental achievement, I really mean that, and you should be very proud too. I know it's coming to an end in a few weeks, but the memories you're going to have are unforgetable, they will last a lifetime. Love you lots, Dad |
| 6th February 2009 golfkat | Brings Back Memories - From: Breath taking.........Quite literally Thanks for the story, as it reminds us of our trip there. We had a bunch of women from Spain on our train. On the way back, one of them expelled some serous gas. So as the staff was modeling the alpaca sweaters, I was furiously fanning us with a magazine. Everyone behind us was laughing until the stench reached them. We finally moved, but the Spanish lady acted like nothing was wrong. |
| 6th February 2009 Ry | - From: Breath taking.........Quite literally Wow, the pictures even took my breath away!! Looks amazing. Looking forward to seeing you soon!! |

Still, plenty of time to squeeze in one more four week holiday, you lucky buggars! Snowing here by the way! Can't wait to see you both, take it to the limit for the next few weeks, enjoy yourselves. Be bold, be bold, be extremely bold, but keep away from them damn snake like creatures in Inca territory and watch out for the head shrinkers! They sure as hell know how to creep up on you! Canabalism is still pretty rife out there, don't you know! Keep an eye out for Indiana Jones. Adios for now, Dad |

Beaters' day on friday Budge, I'll take a few birds down for you. What do you fancy, Pheasant, Partridge or maybe a Woodcock or two! The guys at the shooting club are looking forward to seeing you again. You both sit a saddle well, scenery looks absolutely magnificent, bet you had the time of your lives. I'm very envious, I haven't been riding for many years. Hope they equiped you with a .45 to shoot them pesky rattlers! Have a terrific time, but listen up people; "Let's be careful out there" Lots of love from the Old Man. |
| 19th January 2009 Dad Walton | Butch & Sundance - From: Cultural heart of Chile Bolivia - Sounds tres romantique, don't you know! That's where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid met their maker. So, don't go robbing any banks, them local yokels don't take too kindly to that sort of thing! Keep the pics coming people, lovely to see what mischief your getting up to. "A picture is a poem without words" That's Horace, just by the way! (He was a well known poet, quite some time ago, so I believe)! Much love from the Old Man of Offley. |

There just ain't no place like home, hell, you can do it all again in a year or two! Budger, I'm offering you a compliment, you're starting to look like a young Kurt Russell, (remember, Escape from New York and his character, Snake Pliskin), long hair suits you, pretty damn fine.
