Croatia Europe
Two weeks and an amazing trip, rocky coastline, pebble beaches, beautiful inland mountains and parks. So much only in part of a small country. A fantastic guest house, with a fantastic land lady ,Gordana. hill top towns, the truffle hunters with their dogs, cepavici, great pizzas, roman ruins, baking hot sun. A night out with an Aussie til four in the morning at a student disco , the English girls who kept me company for so much of the trip. The kind lady in the tavern in baska whose face lit up when she regonised me from the day before and [View Full Entry]

Sell a kidney, sell a child ,sell your wife, sell anything !!! You must go and see the new U2 show! Not a big fan of the new album but there was only one place to see U2 this time round, Berlin. The Olympic stadium is fantastic, you can sit on grass after you have gone in, very civilised! The Approach to the stadium has beer and sausage stands, loved it. The Show was Amazing, the only thing i have ever done which was on a par was a sky dive, its sensory over load. Really really has to be seen [View Full Entry]

Hello Hello Hola !

From this summary work backwards and you will see the entries and pics on my blog sorry that the pics are a bit jumbled in each entry! Fantastic trip, needed another week just to be able to go slower, do more and enjoy it even more than we did. A lot of driving on ocassions but that was one of the best bits, driving and looking at scenery not driving to get somewhere. Only LA and getting out of Vegas was stressful, the rest was great. Driving through littles places, grabbing a sandwich, popping into supermarkets, coffee with half and half. [View Full Entry]

An eleven hour flight saw us coming into land over San Fran, the flight curves over canada and there was nice snowy mountain scenery to look down on. toke us a while to work out, with a fellas help how to get a ticket on the train from the airport to the centre then a quick Cab ride got us to our hotel, The Mayfair. Quite a retro place with a lovely entrance hall and a great breakfast, cookies!! Free internet went down well and it was in a good position. First afternoon we had been up a while but toke [View Full Entry]

The Trip to Yosemite toke us past some quite ram shackle places. The place we stayed was pretty cool, our room was retro english 18th century, old type writers and riding hats. the weather wasnt great raining a bit but we went down into the valley to get our bearings and plan the following day, just as well since on the second day it was cold rain and fog and the visability wasnt as good as the first day. blooming cold down there too, we did a couple of treks and got soaked and freezing cold. there was hardly anyone around [View Full Entry]

The trip to death valley toke us from 8500 feet up in sequoia to Stove pipe in death valley via some amazing scenery. we got to stove pipe just after dark but not before we had seen the evening sun playing with the colours of the rock in the valley as we descended. we got up early to watch the sun rise which it does by lighting the valley behind stove pipe then streaking across the valley. we toke a drive through the valley past badwater basin with its salt ,the lowest point in the states. we could see vegas well [View Full Entry]
