Howaye all, Its been a wee while since my last update, have fit a bit in since then so woeandbehold the following account of my latest trabbeling… Current status: Nepal Its Johnny a go-go here for me at the moment. Im only in the door and have already embarked on a 2 day white water rafting trip, 4 day kayaking trip and a day’s rock climbing. Rafting: Lots of fun. First day was mild and left me thirsty for more hardcore rapids then later that night we had a delightful storm with lots of rain that got the river a raging for full throttle next day. Vientiane, capital city of Laos...or so they say (whoever 'they' really are). 3 days here yet i still feel like im living on the outskirts of town although 'they' say im slap bang in the middle of city centre hype! What a wierd captial city....lots of places seem to be closed half the day, hardly any traffic on the roads and not very many people...Ive also been assured by 'them' that its not a public holiday and that this is typical get up and go-go for Vientiane. Not sure what to make of that really so im leaving today before i can make up my mind. Nightlife in Vientiane.... Yellow everyone, Here's the latest update in Von's lucky bag of travelling tricks so far... Back in Wankcock after 6 weeks of souping it up in Tonsai, the climber's paradise of Thailand. This was originally a 2 day fleeting visit. I had a speed date with the rocks and needed to tick climbing off my list of things to do. Having taken to climbing like fizzy to a soda pop i managed to sniff out a healthy pair of colorado rocky mountain boys who took me under their wings for the first 3 weeks in Tonsai and took me through me all the necessary spiderman manovres required to get to the anchor.
