| 23rd April 2007 Jackie | wow - From: Cairo (& Luxor): Where I Found My Egyptian Husband Lisa, I absolutely love reading your travelblogs and I'm glad you're having such a great time traveling the world! I must say I'm jealous. I have actually experienced eating sugar cane like that. In New Mexico, when my mom was little, she had a neighbor where sugar cane just grew in their yard. So she used to just pick it and eat it just like you were describing and she liked it but I think it's nasty haha (she made me have some she bought at a grocery store.) Anyway good to hear you're doing well, I hope to see you soon. I see you're coming to D.C. in July, will you be in Roanoke most of the time you're here? And how long will you be here. Let me know! Love, Jackie |
| 21st April 2007 Darija | ... - From: Cairo (& Luxor): Where I Found My Egyptian Husband Wow Lisa, I must say, your photography skills are amazing! I hope everything is going well there. Miss ya! |
| 15th January 2007 Jackie | - From: I Can (Could) Feel the Christmas Magic! Hey Lisa, sounds like you're having a wonderful time over there. Those ornaments are beautiful too. When you were talking about the peacocks it reminded me of this zoo in Rome my dad, my brother and I went to. All the animals were caged like over here except for the birds. So the peacocks were just roaming free throughout the zoo and my brother and I kept chasing them (of course they were too fast for us...) Anyway I thought it was pretty neat. I love reading your blogs, can't wait for more updates. Also did you get my Christmas card? Because I got these pretty notecards for Christmas and I'd love to send them out to keep in touch with people. Let me know, I'll talk to you soon! Love, Jackie |

| 16th October 2006 anonymous | - From: I've Pulled my First Parisian All-Nighter Wow Lisa it sounds like your having a blast. Gotta watch out for those lesbian wood prostitutes though, man I can't believe you didn't KNOW that, that's like rule #1 to remember while in Paris. hahaha just kidding I've never heard of that and frankly that sounded quite creepy...Oh and I saw those sparkling lights on the Eiffel Tower while I was in Paris and it's so neat! Keep the travel journals coming so I can live vicariously through you while I'm alone in Charlottesville hehe. Also I got your birthday card thank you so much! Except I can't understand it but hey it's pretty sweet to have a birthday card in French. Miss you I'll talk to you soon. P.S. do you have a new e-mail? if so I'm not sure I have it... |

I'm glad you are careful, and I'm glad you are taking life by the horns! Avoid the woods, huh? I almost hurt hearing it-I loved it all so much there. Remember when your Dad heard me warn of gypsies, and he turned to you and siad "If we see some, start swingin'"?? Too funny- I love you- Cat |

| 2nd May 2006 One from Madrid | Facts - From: Madrid: Land of Cow Stomach & Toe-Picking Intestines and etc are eaten in some parts of Spain and the World. The 90% of the spaniards don't like that food, and not even Liver or other parts that Frenchies love. I personally dislike all including Callos a la Madrileņa. What you call "El Rastro" is the Plaza Mayor, 1 km far from the Rastro, what is made only in sunday mornings to trade with minor things. Madrid is very nice also for walking in the night by Austrias' Quarters: Huertas Street, Mayor, Arenal etc. Cheers |
| 11th April 2006 Catherine | - From: Trip to Xativa Castle The pictures are georgeous. |
| 25th November 2005 s. baida | small world... - From: The Ku Klux Klan in Valencia? i looked up my last name on google... and found this... interesting! do you know where i could find info on the source of the town's name? |
| 14th September 2005 eduardo1zapat@hotmail.com | what about tripes? - From: Madrid: Land of Cow Stomach & Toe-Picking it`s funny to me what you tell about your "tripe eating experience", but anyway you should considerate that your prejudices are just something cultural: whatīs the diference betwen eating "tripe" and eating unknownflesh maden burgers (i like it also). keep traveling and report us your funny experiences. kisses |

| 28th February 2005 anonymous | what's up Lisa? - From: On that Midnight Train to Georgia . . I mean Sevilla Yo Lisa, I just did a Google search for "travel blog" and this site came up, and your entry was the top on the list at this site's home page. I saw your birthday picture and was like "shit, that looks like Lisa from my Spanish class last year!" We were both in Arantxa's class, by the way.. Sure enough I read on and it was you! Pretty random, but cool. I hope your Valencia trip goes well! Check out my travel blog from my trip last year: http://operationadventpro.blogspot.com. Later! - Scott |
| 16th February 2005 anonymous | wonderful - From: Madrid: Land of Cow Stomach & Toe-Picking I know you are having the time of your life. Keep sending iteniary. Mary - Mary Bommarito |
| 16th February 2005 anonymous | ewww :) - From: Madrid: Land of Cow Stomach & Toe-Picking Tripe is not just a Spanish thing. It is also a mexican thing as well. And me being half-mexican, when we have weddings, we celebrate afterwards by going to someone's house and eating menudo. And what's in menudo? Tripe. Although I will admit, the tripe you took a picture of looked WAY less appetizing than the tripe we eat in the menudo. P.S. Sometimes I cheat and take the tripe out. lol It doesn't even taste that bad in the menudo, it's just a weird texture. Anyway, sounds like you're having a blast! I'll be writing you an e-mail soon. Happy 21st!! I hope you have an awesome birthday. I gotta go for now though, Adios. Jackie - Jackie |
