under His wings - From: My Home Away From Home
Hey Jeremy, Nelson said, "But through God’s love, I am safe and sound under his wings." Check out Malachi 4:2. Then the story of the woman who sought to touch the hem of Jesus garment in Luke 8:43-47. The word of Wing and Hem in Hebrew is the same 'kanaph'. This is a messianic prophecy in Mal 4:2 fulfilled in Luke's story about this woman. Then Nelson, you and me and all who believe are benefactors. Praying for you brother. In Christ Dennis

Jeremy- Welcome back home! I'm sure you will have some travel withdrawls, so just lock yourself in your room until you're ready to get out! Haha... I would love to sit down and pick your brain about your travels. I'm ready to walk away and experience life, myself. Are you sure you're not up for another jaunt around the world? :-) Tam should be home in about three weeks or so to surprise mom for her birthday (shhhhhh...don't tell Momma Lou!). I'm sure you two will find some time to meet up. Thanks for all the awesome pictures from your travels!

Jeremy, I met you at the Nairobi airport when our small group arrived the day election returns were announced in Kenya. We visited with you briefly again as we were going back to the States when Daniel picked you up at the airport after your Mt. Kilimanjaro climb. Thank you so much for your blog about your time at Into Abba's Arms. Because we know the children there and the workers, because we were there at the beginning of the trouble, and because we also scattered parts of our hearts there, your words and photos were especially meaningful. Donna tells me how much you helped. Your presence gave another male role model, another night watchman, and especially a "fun" big brother. I love your descriptions of the games and "moves" that you shared with the children. They need levity so much in the tense times. I am so proud of our kids. Now I can add you to our "kid" list. Enjoy Egypt. Trish Czichos

I miss the kids and Kenya - From: Within the eyes of a child...
Jeremy, I am not sure if you remember me, I was on the last trip with Jane when the violence started. I usually kinda stand back ,so you may not remember. ANYWAY, I have missed the kids and their smiles since I have been home. Being that we had to stay in one spot this trip I got to know the children well , and fell in love with each and every one. Please tell them all that Auntie Janis misses them and I WILL BE BACK !! I will try to help Nelson with his mission to help the people of his country .. I will send money straight to IAA and designate it for that. I am so glad you are there, the boys need a good roll model and sounds like you are the guy. God bless you and your love for the kids. I pray daily for them and the country, I will add you to the list, wrestling can get tortuous !! Tell Moses I am glad his face is healing well and I wish I were there to help him get well, your doing a good job though. If the wounds are not too deep it will not scar. Also, my heart goes out to George, I fell in my heart he sicker than it seems, please keep a good eye on him, ( silly to ask, I know you do)I mainly wanted to let you know that I and the last team there have been praying none stop for y'all. The kids are etched into our hearts and there is no better feeling getting a note from one of them telling you they love you. I pray as we go , we can do the best for them and in the long run help the country. Sorry this is so long, but I just have so much built up inside that I had to tell someone of my strong feelings for the kids at IAA and all of Kenya. Please try to keep in touch, Janis

Keyan children relive my childhood, God save them. - From: Within the eyes of a child...
It breaks my heart, what these children must have had to endure and suffer through....with you there. You have probably created a lasting custom of "the monster" and "the powerbomb" that Keyan children a hundred years in the future will have to endure from their parents who learned it from their great grandparents who learned it from you. You are Legend. Just kidding, I'm sure you've brighted the lives of these children to a degree that will last with them for the rest of their lives. Keep it up and stay safe.

"Mere Christianity " Does Come In Handy - From: If only I had the memory of an elephant...
Isn't it amazing how often people rely on the position, probably without even thinking about it, that C.S. Lewis so concisely and logically rejects in "Mere Christianity." That book really is an outstanding source for presenting a respectful, unoffensive but logical and presuasive defense of the Christian faith. In addition to seeing and doing all kinds of cool stuff, it looks like you and the Holy Spirit are achieving the objectives of 1 Peter 3:15-16. On to Beijing - From: "What we have here is failure to communicate"
Looks like you got to see alot of the good things Hong Kong has to offer, and it looks like the weather was nice. When you get to Beijing, definitely eat dumplings there - - they are a northern dish and Beijing is famous for them. Another good, cheap dish for which Beijing is famous is ¸qb (Zha jiang mian) - - it's a bowl of noodles, with a brown meat sauce. Look for it if you go to Hong Qiao - - which is a market where you kind haggle for all kinds of crap. Enjoy the Great Wall -- it's one of the most impressive things I have ever seen.

Thank you for your journal - From: Into Open Arms, Into Abba's Arms
Jeremy, You write so eloquently, a God given talent that I enjoyed reading. I have a great interest in the Children of IAA, and it was so wonderful to see them growing up so well. I know how much they are loved, as one that loves them from afar. The lollipop and coke delivery was something that is close to my heart. As the first American to go live in Kenya on behalf of Jane and IAA, I always had candy in my pockets (as well as lots of kleenex, you know what I'm talking about) when I went to the site during construction...the local children gave me the name Auntie Sweetie and it stuck when the children came to live at the IAA Site. So I was happy to see that lollipops (sweeties) were still an important part of the "Mission". 2002/2003, my time in Kenya, was the most memorable part of my life, and I thank you for bringing those sweet memories back with your words and photos. Kenya can change you for the rest of your life! Asante Asana my rafiki for your insight and lovely dialog. Cheers, Auntie Sweetie.

The poor Tica Bus Travellers - From: Can't Catch a Break
I'm Salvadorean. I'm so sorry and embarrased with all the people that uses Tica Bus to travel, especially in El Salvador. They(Tica Bus) have the worstest place in ALL the city as terminal. I don't know what happens with this people. Everyone of all the other bus companies have better terminals in better places, except Tica Bus. It's looks like they want to give to the tourist the worst ever impression about our beloved country. But, what can you expect of the chippest bus line of the region?

Excellent - From: What I Believe (part 2)
Hey Jeremy, Excellent work little brother! You have been studying hard and it shows. Let me know if I can ever help you in this regard. Get a copy of "Evidence that Demands a Verdict 1 & 2" by Josh McDowell. Full of documented work in regard to authenticity of Scripture, Jesus existence, crucifixion and resurrection, prophecies of Scripture etc. Josh set out on a quest to disprove the Bible - in his case you have an example of an honest skeptic - and he found the truth. As you know there are lazy (even hypocrits) skeptics who question but will not search for the answer. Imagine an infant who cries feed me, feed me, but then refuses to suck on a nipple! We would think they were very sick.... that is what you have when you run into the skeptic who questions Scripture but will not read for himself. May God send you HONEST HARD WORKING SKEPTICS HA! Hi my friend, im form El Salvador, i live in San Salvador and i got to tell you that the picture you put dosn't represent all the city. The downtown area is horrible, you can see it in the picture, but when you reach other parts of the city, you see everything changes. Malls (biggest in the region) can be found in many places, shopps, restaurants, luxury hotels, fast food, you can ind everything. One part of the city of San Salvador is seen as a nn European city because it is so developed and rich it is very urban. You would like our city if you visit other areas. I recommend all not to go to downtown, it is not pleasent! Have a nice day!

Amazing Honduras - From: Planes, Boats, and Buses
Never been, but can't wait to get there. Most of the entries regarding this country make it sound awesome, plus I just read in TIME Magazine that it is one of the last paradises on earth. So jealous! Did you spend a lot of money? Is it really expensive?

Belize - From: Soaking It Up!
Hi, Stacey Foshee sent me this blog page of your trip to Belize. My husband was born and raised in Belize...lived there until going to medical school. We love to hear of people who travel to Bze and love it. Although it is in a 3rd world country, I believe it is the most beautiful of the Caribbean countries. Nice people, laid back lifestyle and beautiful. If you have a chance, you should visit the mountains of Belize. There are many beautiful water falls, rivers, wildlife, mayan ruins, etc. Glad you enjoyed it!

You are making people stronger! - From: What I Believe
Jeremy, that was such an amazing testimony to us. I felt myself getting stronger just reading your journal. You are so right that we have to read and get our own knowledge, not just go to church to be taught. Thank you for reminding me how important my Bible is. I can't wait for Chloe to grow up knowing you. Be safe!!

Keep searching and you will find.... - From: What I Believe
Jeremy, thanks for sharing your heart. The first sentence in James 4:8 tells us to draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Notice that you first draw to Him and He draws to you. YOU MOVE FIRST. Personally, I've tried this..........He is faithful to His word and He is right there waiting for you. Be encouraged. I'm excited for your adventure and praying for your continued growth toward your personal relationship with the Lord. Bendiciones, Jackie

Man, i live in Guatemala, and this contradictory country makes one really think about many things (i dont know if you understand, my english is bad), its really nice that people like you behave like a friend and i am sure the people of this country you have met, as we say, you will allways welcomed in our humble home, be safe, feel in your house, enjoy you stay....

Taking things for granted - From: Taking Things For Granted
Isn't it amazing how much others don't have and that alot of people whine over the smallest things here. I know a couple of people who would never survive in the places you are visiting. How little we know or choose to know about the rest of the world. You haven't made one of your famous runs in the soccer games, have you?

I think we have the same bus drivers in Vietnam. They must work half of the year there and half of the year in Vietnam. That's all I have to say.
