After many days deliberating, making of plans and changing. Discussions with our travel agent, and working on our budgets, we finally decided instead of just a 2 month detour to Africa visiting only a small section of what is to offer we have now planned a full 5 months in Africa starting in Cape Town on November 12th 2010 and ending in Tangier on April 16th before linking into our Europe and South American sections of our trip. Our budget has been stretched, our plans remade and our excitement levels are through the roof, i really cant wait to get on the road. The map is denoted by red = overland and white = flights. ok so i took a little holiday to our beautiful northern capital Brisbane over the weekend to visit a few friends, only stayed locally in central Brisbane so not many good pictures, but i wanted to check out my new camera and i must say while the camera held up well i think i need to take some photography classes. Spent the weekend in the Ibis hotel in the middle of Brisbane and had some drinks at the Fox hotel in Sunny Bank was a great weekend away, which helped me put the monotony of preparing our RTW itinerary together. over the last few days i had run into snags on trying to organize transport between a few places and it was doing my head in. A Day of planning - Destination Tanzania

Ok so after a few days of deliberating and a lot of talks with my brother and multiple other travelers we have decided to start planning our trip with a start in Tanzania, we have already planned our European part of our trip but i'll get to that later. Starting off i thought this would be easy, having a tour operator plan the 30+ weeks we plan to spend in Europe and the America's. We have decided to plan the African part of the tour ourselves and then lead into our already planned part of the trip instead of coming to Africa after Europe. ok so where are we?....... So where to start....... A few nights ago i was laying in bed thinking to myself, what have i done in my life so far that would be a something i could remember for the rest of my life? I'm 27 , Single, worked since i was 16 as a chef ( trades qualified ) , have no debts , have everything i could ever want for a settled life yet still have a yearning to do something exciting............So far nothing has really been that exciting to hold onto as a lasting memory.
