Don't even think of the effort or time it took us, we would have made it bigger and better if we thought it would have been more fun.Anything for you guys, you know that. Keep on remembering it fondly, it summed up our time together. Fun, Hilarious, Food (hehe) and lots of smiles and love. | 20th June 2008 Jon | - From: Contemplating leaving... Don't contemplate leaving Australia; contemplate the fact that I get to see you in 3 days and make you a nice homecooked meal! | 17th June 2008 Nell | - From: Finals! Emily i am so excited for you going home! I read this and I have a suggestion. You should do a study of crows, compare the crows back home to the ones here, they really do sound different in Qld and NSW, they must sound really different between countries.........weeeeird! The best part of conducting that study could be staying here. HOORAAAAAAAAAAY! |
| 12th June 2008 Jon | - From: Finals! Emmy! I can't wait to see you; good luck with the studying! <3 XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO |

| 1st April 2008 Heather | hi - From: Let the trip to the NT begin! hi, those are some cool pictures, love the one of you standing in the dry river. i can't believe that Alice has boat races with people running holding the boats! that just sounds so crazy, like flintstones or something. |
| 1st April 2008 Heather | hi - From: The week in review hey, sorry i didn't see this sooner, i've been busy and haven't caught up in your blog till now. thanks for the bday wishes! and, like claire says, sounds like your having an awesome time there, between weekend outings, interesting classes, and friends to spend time with. |
| 23rd March 2008 Claire | - From: The week in review Sounds like you're having a wonderful time, even if you're busy. And you seem to have plenty of friends to go out with, which is also good! Chicago was wonderful-- they are finished with renevation in the lobby, which looks great, and they've also redone the rooms. ((Apparently it cost $150 million to do all this...)). It was exciting, but busy in most places we tried to go. For instance, we wernt able to see the Monet exibit at all because there was 2 hour line out the door of the building... so we went up the sears tower instead. Can't wait to hear more of your adventures! ~~Bear |
| 21st March 2008 Jon | - From: The week in review Thanks for the birthday wishes, Sweetie! I miss you like crazy; I'm so excited that it's only 51 days until I get to see you! I hope you have a great rest of the day. I can't wait to talk to you! <3 XOXOXOXOXOXOXO |

| 14th March 2008 Jon | - From: The week in review Hi Sweetie! I'm glad you liked the card. I'm surprised you got it so quickly; I only mailed it a week ago. I hope you had a great time at the talent show. I can't wait to talk to you! <3 XOXOXOXOXOXOXO |

| 9th March 2008 Katy | - From: Weekend excitement I demand pictures!! Keith is excited for the leopard print dress.... |
| 6th March 2008 Jon | - From: Life at Uni That's really great that you found a printer so cheap; that'll be really convenient for you. I hope you have a great day today! <3 XOXOXOXOXOXOXO PS: I love your description "nicely and emphatically." |
| 2nd March 2008 Claire | - From: Downtown Brisbane Sounds wonderful down there! It's really gorgeous everywhere and I'm so jealous its summer!! WI got over 80 inches of snow this winter... that’s about 6 and a half feet. However, today is warming up to a toasty 43-- I wanted to eat my breakfast outside today. Ross would LOVE that pancake house, as would Miles. I'd hate to see what sorts of beastly platters they would get. Free Museums are wonderful, and great for bio-dorks like you. I miss you dearly, but it looks like you're having a wonderful time! |
| 2nd March 2008 Katy | - From: Downtown Brisbane I have a light pole sprouting from my head. Hooray! |

| 27th February 2008 Heather | hi! - From: Today's excitement Em, it sounds like you have a busy week, but that it is more spread out than before and that you're enjoying the classes so far. That religion one sounds interesting. Hope you have a great rest of the week and that you get to do everything you want to over the weekend. |
| 26th February 2008 Cricket UQ | - From: Thoughts I'm not sure about the ornithologists... I'm sure it must matter what colors you can't see as well. Perhaps the red/pink people prefer differently colored birds (or at least different habitats for them?) than the green/browns? I'll have to ask my ornithologist friends back at Muhlenberg... |
| 26th February 2008 Thea | the naturalists's eye - From: Thoughts I'm so blind without my glasses that if I were in the shower and saw something move, I'd write it off to perceptual error. Thinking of the parrots, I wonder if color-blind ornithologists (there must be some out there) prefer to study big species with high-contrast plumage or little birds that are monochrome brown. |
| 25th February 2008 Jon | Hi Sweetie! - From: First day o' class! Emmy! I'm glad your first day of classes went well! I'm glad you're finally able to get on the web, but I hope they can give you back some of those megabytes. I can't wait to talk to you soon! |
