| 8th October 2007 Kevin and Laurie | Baby butts - From: Great Cruise - No Li Hello, My girlfriend and I are currently spending the year teaching English in China. We are Americans but hopefully engraining ourselves into the culture a little better than your tour counterparts. We've enjoyed looking at your pictures and reading your blogs...in fact they are helping us plan for our future trips! Real quick: wanted to commend the shot of the baby's bottom. We are amused by the slit phenomenon and the indiscriminate public urination. We have been trying to get a shot like that for over a month, but not sure it would top that. Kudos on the rest of your photos as well and the writing! Best of luck, Kevin and Laurie in China |

We really enjoyed reading your blogs and seeing your beautiful photographs. Keep blogging! |
| 6th May 2007 Mysha | Beautiful Morocco - From: Fez Tastick Hi Guys I have been following your blogs for 2 months and I absolutely love your photos and blogs about the places you have been too! I recently went to Morocco (Marakesh - Travelblog: Mysha) and loved my time there! Unfortunately didn't get to go any further! Thanks for the recommendation (to all readers) about Dar Safferine because I am definately going to book that Riad when I return to Morocco! You definately have given me ideas (time wise) of where and how to travel around without planes (eco friendly). Happy travelling and keep up the great blogs!!! All the best, Shabana |
| 29th April 2007 Dave Joynt | Nicely Done - From: The Wild West Matt and Isabel. It's been a treat hearing all about your fantastic journey. Jen and I certainly felt some jealously from time to time as we heard about all the amazing spots you were visiting. Congrats on completing such an incredible adventure. Looking forward to hopefully seeing you soon and of course hearing how you're adapting to life back in the fast lane... I.E. reality!!! Oh and I definitely like the idea of a yearly Bermuda reunion... Saskatoon... here I come! |
| 25th April 2007 Christie | The drive - From: The Wild West The drive to Calgary was well worth it....especially since it wasn't on a little scooter or waiting in an airport for hours. It was great to see the both of you and I, as well as the rest of the group. I look forward to the next mini-Bermuda BBQ. Perhaps I can host next time!?!?! Hmmmm....how many would trek to Saskatoon for the party?? I promise we would BBQ in the summer when it is warm. |

| 14th April 2007 Larkin | - From: Aloha: Island Hoping Always comforting to hear that the U.S. is keeping it's borders tight and secure. Apparently you haven't gotten a close look at the Statue of Liberty - it clearly states in small print on the tablet she's holding "Canadians Keep Out". We don't want Canadians bringing their 'apathetic' personalities & second class citizen attitudes to our shores, which merely adds to all the other garbage that has seen fit to mooch off our prosperity and turn America into a welfare state. *I'll be publishing more of my insights and rants in a website this fall. What have they done at Waikiki Beach? In one of your pictures it looks like they've run some sort of artificial barrier about 200 yards out. Are they trying to stop the beach erosion? Probably a good idea since when we were there in 2005 there wasn't much beach and it was only going to get worse. You should have gone to Mauna Kea when you were on the Big Island. Great experience. |
| 14th April 2007 Rob & Monika | home - From: Aloha: Island Hoping Hey, great stories, and if you should be passing through the Okanagen on your way from Calgary, please give us an email, and you are more than welcome to stay here for a few days. cheers Monika |

| 22nd March 2007 Stephen Paul | Nothing Compares to Whistler! - From: Scrum Half: Abel Tasman & Queenstown, Mt. Cook & Milford Sound To Whistler! Especially in the southern hemisphere. Except maybe the Chilean/Argentinian Resorts- like Las Lenas(arg) or Valle Nevado(chile)- but those are much more northerly and dry to compare to Whistler, Bariloche or NZ. Anyways! GREAT PICS! Great BLOG! Loved it all. I found Tekapo and the area around Twizel quite nice however. Desolate, yes- but there's something magical in the silence of the open spaces near Tekapo and Pukaki, the part of New Zealand with the most days of sunshine and in the rain shadow of the Southern Alps, but all the glory of a lanscape scoured by ancient glaciers. Thanks For Posting!! Look forward to your Hawaii blogs... |
| 22nd March 2007 jaxw17 | enjoyed - From: Scrum Half: Abel Tasman & Queenstown, Mt. Cook & Milford Sound Good photos....saves me the fare of going ! |

| 21st March 2007 Crazy Canucks | Lagoon Balos - From: Holy Crete Lisa-Marie, I believe the only way to get there is by boat. The marina to catch the boat was an hr drive from Chandi and the boat was another 1hr I think. Don't believe there is a resort, but you can camp if you like. We did a day trip. Enjoy and thank you for reading our blog. |
| 20th March 2007 Lisa-Marie Mosca | Lagoon Balos oh my god - From: Holy Crete That lagoon balos is gorgeous me and a friend want to go away andthat looks perfect were is it exactly is there a resort or how do you get there |
| 9th March 2007 The Travel Camel | Superb photos! - From: The Land Down Under II: Melbourne & Great Ocean Drive These are some of the best photos of the Great Ocean Road I've ever seen, and being an Aussie, I've looked at plenty of photos! You have really captured the beauty and grandeur of the place. Am glad the weather was good to you, as that coastal area is most unpleasant once the wind and rain arrives! Look forward to seeing more of your great photography! |
| 7th March 2007 Angel & Alyna | Miss you - From: The Land Down Under II: Melbourne & Great Ocean Drive Looks great guys. Now I want to go and visit. |

| 6th March 2007 LPW | - From: The Land Down Under II: Melbourne & Great Ocean Drive I have always wanted to drive this road. And your pics just added to my desire. Awesome blog, happy travels guys. Lloyd |
| 1st March 2007 Teresa | Ah Memories - From: The Land Down Under - Sydney & Port Douglas Ah memories of my year there last year. I spent many a day walking between Bondi and Coogee. You are right about the prices and food- not much different than Bermuda. The Cronulla riots last year are evidence of the lack of multiculturalism in the city - was very surprised by it too. Your pics; however, are asking me the question - "why did you leave?" Maybe I'll have to give Syd another try sometime - maybe with a different job - will be back visiting friends in July. Cheers! |
| 28th February 2007 Brent | I'm still jealous!! - From: The Land Down Under - Sydney & Port Douglas More great shots - when are you coming back to BC? |
| 28th February 2007 Marcel | Sydney - From: The Land Down Under - Sydney & Port Douglas Hey guys. It's a shame you two didn't like Sydney more. When i was there 6 years ago it reminded me a lot of Vancouver (Lion's Gate = Harbour Bridge, Canada Place = Opera House, Ferry from Manly to Circular Quay = SeaBus from N.Shore to downtown, Stanley Park = Hyde Park??, Rainbow District = Rainbow District...).. lots of similarities. Once again...nice pics! |
| 21st February 2007 Roach | Great Pics!! - From: Gulf of Thailand Tour: Koh Samui, Koh Tao & Koh Phangan Those are some of the best pictures I've seen of Thailands' beaches.. =) |
| 20th February 2007 niki | wicked - From: Gulf of Thailand Tour: Koh Samui, Koh Tao & Koh Phangan im just doing all of that good luck mate www.travelblog.org/bloggers/brummy/ take care man |
| 19th February 2007 Kevin&Helen | Amazing Photos - From: Life isn't that Bad Hi Matt&Isabel, your pictures of Bali are fantastic! My partner Helen and i have experienced amazing times in Bali(Lembongan Island too) and going through your web page brought back all those wonderful times. But what were most impressed with is that you decided to encourage strangers who havent been to this amazing part of the world to maybe stop vocusing on the "negative past" of Bali and enjoy a very affordable paradise with an amazing culture and people. Excellent work guys. Best wishes on your next adventure, Regards Kevin. |
| 16th February 2007 Brent Larmour | What a change!! - From: Andaman Sea Tour: Phi Phi Don & Phuket Matt, when you get home I'll show you my pictures of Kho Phi Phi and the 2 bays from 15 years and you'll see nothing but green. Boy oh boy has it changed!! |
| 12th February 2007 Alec | - From: Andaman Sea Tour: Phi Phi Don & Phuket Wow, I can't beieve how Loh Dalam Bay has changed. When I was there in 1990 there was only small guest houses and the showers were all salt water. Thanks for the blog its been great following your journey. |
| 11th February 2007 Christie | all tanned up - From: Andaman Sea Tour: Phi Phi Don & Phuket Those pics look fabulous and you haven't lost your Bermuda tan, that's for sure. My sister is also in Thailand right now, so looking at both of your pics/blogs is getting me very itchy for a hot holiday. Oh yah, and the weather here isn't helping things either. The temp in Saskatchewan for the past week has been on average -30 degrees Celsius which is making my skin look about as tanned as a Scotsman. Although the huge amount of snow is still fun and exciting...as long as my neighbour keeps shovelling it for me. |
| 10th February 2007 Lothos | - From: Walk Like an Egyptian Great pictures and commentary, that sound and light show at the pyramids looks like it would be amazing to experience. |
| 10th February 2007 Larkin | - From: Andaman Sea Tour: Phi Phi Don & Phuket Very cool place. Wouldn't mind getting over there someday to visit. Was Leonardo Dicaprio there to great you? Hopefully he was washed away by the tsunami also (along with Rosie O'Donnell and Oprah). Thanks for the commentary about cheap tourists Matt (agreed 100%) - Robyn and I just got back from Mexico last month and it's the same thing there, but for the most part it's the Canadians who are the ones we saw trying to save 50 cents on a $3 item. PS - thanks for not posting any pictures of Matt in a speedo. |
| 5th February 2007 Jose | Colca Canyon - From: Cola Canyon - Arequipa Hi!!, I am peruvian and I've been reading your article about arequipa and your travel to the colca canyon, and i noticed that u miss a "c" when you wrote "Cola Canyon" it should say "Colca canyon". On the other hand, i have to say that u took great pictures of the falcons Take Care |
