Sorry for the long delay. The good news is I now have finished my master's and can focus my energy on posting pictures of our trip. Here we go: From Pensacola we drove to New Orleans, the French Quarter, where we had lunch. We then drove north through Louisiana and stopped in Natchitoches, where we had a delicious dinner of meat pies before continuing on to Dallas, Texas, to stay with Nickey's brother, Leo. This is the very first entry of Cody and Nickey's Most Excellent Adventure. Tuesday morning we left Fort Lauderdale and drove up north to Ocala, FL, and stayed the night with Nickey's grandparents. Wednesday morning we left Ocala and drove to Panama City Beach, where we followed the highway along the Gulf Coast, which was beautiful. We drove through Seaside, FL, where The Truman Show was filmed: an idyllic little beach community. We stopped in Destin for dinner (Sonic on the beach) at sunset.
