Also i think i,ve developed a slight hunch.. I have to like psych myself up to mount the monstrocity on my back, and then attempting the steep steps and narrow corridors on the train is a joke.. You cant turn either and swing the bag off i end up just standing leaning back and dropping it.. Also [View Full Entry]

Starting Mileage 90,000 Up early for our 10:00 AM ferry to Dunkerkque, set off around half 6 but didn't get far before having to pull over as the sheet holding everything on the roof started to come off so leaving us having to drive a slow pace the whole way to Dover.. Eventually arrived and boarded the ferry which was alright, average ferry horrible breakfast which wasn't helped when i tried the black pudding (smelt like pure ass).. After leaving the ferry we was in France for around 15min before entering Belgium and Brugge.. We stupidly attempted driving into the main city [View Full Entry]

Change of Direction... After a freezing cold shower in the hostel and a continental breakfast we made our way back to the station to hopefully get a train to Germany.. On arriving we soon realised that that wasn't how this was going to play out.. And so we picked Zurich Switzerland.. Train left at 10:46 so a nice early one and a bit more expensive than the last.. Had to run for the train in the end which was really funny as we have so much stuff, but made it and squeezed all our rucksacks around us, a bit cramped but [View Full Entry]

Not The Day We Planned... Staring Mileage 90,142 Woke up to the pouring rain which couldn't be worse when camping, so quickly packed up and left for Ghent, not a long drive from Brugge we arrived around 2, easily parked and took a walk around.. A very similar place to Brugge but not as tourist orientated.. Had a nice lunch in the square and decided to move onto Bruxelles and the Beer Museum.. About the same drive again we arrived to find the museum was closed, and after taking a walk around decided that we didn't want to spend long there, [View Full Entry]

Day 3 Achene - Luxembourg Europe » Belgium » Luxembourg
RIP Mitch After a rough night in the car it looked like the garage had finally opened as someone pulled in.. We scrambled ourselves together and knocked on the door (also forgot to mention noone in either town spoke english), a woman answered and after a few minutes we got the impression the garage had shut down a LONG time ago.. She directed us to a breakdown service who after realising we had no cover kind of started ignoring us, but we did get an address for a Misubishi garage in Ciney.. So back to Ciney we rolled.. We eventually found [View Full Entry]

MITCH Europe » United Kingdom » England » Kent
Got a Car!! After searching for a few weeks Autotrader finally came through and I found the perfect car, it's a 1995 Mitsubishi Shogun with low mileage in a metallic green colour.. We've named it Mitch!! Also with the car bought I was able to book the ferry and can confirm the date of departure is 1st September at 10:00am.. At the moment there is still alot to do but things are beginning to fall into place with a few hostels booked in Russia, visa invites coming through and International Driver Permits being bought. As well as details for the China [View Full Entry]

Looking for the Pefect Car!! We started by just browsing on the internet Autotrader the usual, and came up with loads of different kinds of 4x4's so thought YES the one thing that's going to be relatively easy!! After looking for a few weeks we thought we'd better start ringing a few and asking for more details so we compiled a list and started ringing round!! We wanted a 4x4 in good shape with less than 100,000 miles on the clock not too old, manual and diesel. There were quite a few possibilities and i had a list of 13 [View Full Entry]
