| 15th February 2009 Aunty Kate | Keep on looking! - From: Sydney Nance, Hope you are well, I have a small apology to make, I told mum that I would send you some cash for Xmas, and then the senile genes kicked in, so I have only just done it. It may buy you a Big mac, and fries! I am loving the blogs, and was releived that you weren't in the line of the fires! Keep safe Em says she loves the spotty bike, can you bring it home? Kate |
| 10th February 2009 Al | Oh this good damn heat is to much !. - From: Sydney Hi Nance, Longtime no blog. Sounds like you have settled in at Bondai (well at least to the partying and sunbathing side of it). The weather here has been really good, we got up to 5 deg today and nearly all the snow has gone, only to be replaced with torential rain. I bet you wish you were back here !. The fires in Melbourne have made big news here. Where any of the places you visted cought up in it?. They are saying a lot of the fires were deliberate. Some real nutters about. I am not suprised that you passed the alchohole test, but am suprised you needed any training. After all you have probaly broken most of the rules so would already know them. I have been on my usual post xmas waggon, but intend to fall off this week (6weeks in total). So if you hear a rumble or loug bang that will be me falling off. Hope all is still going well your end be good and keep safe. Al. x |
| 10th February 2009 gina | - From: Sydney it's great to hear from you. i was worried that you might be burnt to a crisp or drowned somewhere. i see your liver is still getting a good hammering. keep putting on the factor '40' and try drinking some water inbetween. (i'm only jealous really) love & kisses xxxx |
| 7th January 2009 gina | - From: Melbourne glad to see you had a great new year, i had a drink for you at midnight. we had the usual fight for a bed a jacqui and alan's but luckerly joe was feeling kind (or was it it sorry for me) i can't do floors anymore at my age. who's this owen fella that's calling elaine 'mum' already??????? it's great to see that your ok, love the pics. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
| 6th January 2009 Al | Trolly? - From: Hervey Bay - Narooma Nancy, In a trolley, No. Off your trolley definitely !. Sounds like you found some nice towns over the last few weeks. I guess you must now be in Melbourne, and hopefully settled in somewhere. I have some photos of New Years eve at the Arms which I will get Jo to send to your face book. It was a good night and I think we all rolled out of there at around 3am and back to mine. I went asleep on the sofa within about 30 seconds on getting in which meant I missed food the inevitable the race for a bed. I woke in the middle of the night on the sofa, and went to the kitchen to get a drink. On the way back I went to pick up a blanket that was on a chair and just as I reached for it your mums head popped out, it scared the crap out of me so I found a coat and put that over me back on the sofa. I then woke up in the morning panicking co's my chest felt tight and could not breath properly only to find the reason for this was Joe was asleep at the other end of the sofa with his feet/legs lying on my chest. At that point I gave up and got up and made the tea. Terry and I had the usual new years day beer but your Dad went home. Think he was slightly hung-over. Anyway hope things are all well, be good and keep safe. Al. x |
| 28th December 2008 Aunty Kate | Happy New Year - From: Hervey Bay - Narooma Nancy, It was so good to speak to you, We are all sending all our love to you for a very happy new year, may all your troubles be small ones! | 10th December 2008 Uncle Al | G'day - From: Road Trip - Take Two Hi Nancy, You made it, well done. It will be interesting to hear what you prefer in a few weeks the driving or the busing it. I guess both have there + and - sides. So you are now firmly in the land of Pom Lovers ;-) and very strange creatures. I mean what the feck is a kangaroo meant to be, mouse, sheep bear or what. One thing to be aware of is when you are driving in remote places kangaroo's do have a tendency to run out in front of you, and they can do a lot of damage to you car. Also when you wake up in the morning be sure to bang your boots as hard as you can on the floor at least 4 times and shake any clothes you are about to put on really violently especialy if no one else has got up yet. This is not for any reason but it will anoy anoyone (Hopfully the Ausies) around you in the Hostel. :)) I guess its nice and warem as it now summer time in Aus. It's been really cold here. Oh how I love going out at 7am and slipping up the driveway cos it's so fecking frosty. Still musn't grumble I will leave that to your Dad !. ;-) Take care and be good Al x |
| 9th December 2008 Aunty Kate | G'day Nance! - From: Road Trip - Take Two Great to hear of your adventures in Oz, keep up the blogs, we are loving them! It's a relief that your in a civilised country now, with indoor plumbing, and clean beds, although the lack of decent pubs is a bit disconcerting, I thought that about half of all Aussies were from England anyway, so you would have thought they could do better. I'm going to petition the PM of Oz and find out what his excuse is! Take care baby Aunty Kate |

| 25th November 2008 Uncle Al | Things will be hot - From: Malaysia and Singapore Hi Nance, Sounds like things are all going well. I laughed when I read about you just going to shops to get into the air con. I used to do that when I was in Singapore. In the morning I used to walk from the Ritz carlton hotel to our office which was bout 15 mins. I used stop in every place that had air con. Singapore is quite expensive but if you look around you will find some good cheap places to eat. I was taken out to expensive and cheap places to eat when I was there. The good thing is in either standards are always really high. There are some nice bars etc on the oposite side of the water to the old post office building. Mind you this is financial district so drinks may be a bit expensive. One place you should try go and see is Raffles hotel. It's a really famouse building with a lot of history and is also very pleasing to look at. If the funds are up to it, do the real touristy bit and go into raffles and have a singapore sling (dont forget to throw your peanut shells on the floor of the bar if you do go in). There is also quite a famouse ZOO in singapore which is open at night and is meant to be really good. I never got there as I always seemed to be in bars at night. Be good, and keep the posts up. Al. x |

| 3rd October 2008 Dad | - From: The longest train journey EVER!! Hi Love seems like your eating heathily, well vegatables are supposed to be good for you, never saw the attraction myself. Try a bit of forward planning and buy the beer to take on the train and save the money for food that way you can always buy more beer if you want and take your mind off the food if you run out. Your radiator for the car has just turned up so hopefully will have some news on that soon. Weather is starting to turn a little cold here so getting envious of the exotic locations yet to come. Have to go now but keeping an eye out for blogs so keep them coming. Love Dad |

| 29th September 2008 Uncle Al | Here is the news........ - From: The none stop wait!!! Hi Nance, sounds like its comming together a bit now and lady luck is starting to smile on you. Did you manage to get one of those funny russian hats?. Friend of mine went to moscow for the champions league final, he said it seemd like every chelski supporter had one. The photos were funny all these blokes in chelski shirts and big furry Russian hats. Went out with your ma and pa and rest of the mob on Sat to the ball at Lukes Rugby club. Was a good night, your dad was cracking me up.There was a couple who were doing sur-rock dancing, and he could not keep his eyes of them. I think he was obviously looking for some new moves. Mind you I think the next move he was going to have was turing is head back around without him getting a crick in it (Poor old sod). Im one to talk I am up the quacks today to have a lump on my elbow looked at. Your mums told me it's something called a Ganglian. I dont know what the feck that is but it sounds like something out of an Alien film. Apparently according to yur Mum you cure it by hitting it with a hammer !. Still at least if I go to the doctors he can answer that question about arse and elbows which according to jacqui I have never known the answer to. Look forwatd to your next post, take care, and be good Al. x |

Try to get some vegetables, (i'm not sure beer counts as veg!) Are you getting over the loss of Mitch?
