Planning a trip from London to Sydney with a work colleague, Pete and Adele who we found on the internet!!
Starting on the 1st September 2008 we hope to be in Sydney for Christmas..
We will be travelling through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Mongolia, China, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and finally onto Australia..
It's now the 6th october and so much has changed, the route has been altered instead of Germany we went to Switzerland and we are now thinking of going through Vietnam and Cambodia instead of Laos..
Also we have accumulated one more person on the trip Paul..
We've estimated that it will take us 80 days to get o Australia although it's getting longer..

Bondi Beach My flight to Sydney was at 7:15am and so the night before i decided to have an early night, however a few people in the room were drinking so i had a few which led to some more and then some drinking games which led to a night out in St. Kilda with some Irish girls.. I got back to my room around 4am and set 2 alarms so that i would wake up, but i didn't and was woken by one of the girls in my room at 6:50am.. New Year's
29th December - 09 January First couple of days i just wandered around the city it's not very big you can walk from north to south in around half an hour.. They have their very own big wheel, docklands, chinatown and dome!! Managed to register with the job agency but then found out they had nothing for 2 weeks so it looked like i'd be walking the streets looking for a job which i didn't fancy so put off til after new years.. New Years Eve We wasn't sure what the hell we were doing or where we were going for the night?! Surfer's Paradise
Hervey Bay The drive from 1770 was rubbish it was absolutely pelting it down, the roads were a bit more interesting though as we weren’t on the main highway, it took a bit longer though and we arrived in Hervey Bay at around 3ish.. Managed to book into a nice hostel own bathroom and TV/DVD :).. Went to the cinema in the evening to see ‘Four Holidays’ which is really good called ‘Four Christmas’ back home though I think?? Did a bit of shopping whilst there and hit the beach for a bit a really nice place, quite small.. Found a bar the last night and ended up doing the pub quiz with a couple of randoms who it turned out were as good as me and we came 2nd to last haha.. Gympie The drive ... read more
Cairns
Cairns We finally arrived in Cairns after a long flight to Brisbane then a connecting flight which totalled around 12 hours, wasn't too bad though the plane was pretty snazzy had our own tv's and supper and breakfast which i didn't expect.. When we got off the plane it was fucking hot the only way i can explain it is it's like when you go in the bathroom after someone's had a really hot shower and the steam hits you!! After collecting luggage we headed for the car rental places and picked up a Toyota Corolla with air con and everything :) nice new car taking no chances this time ha ha, haven't thought of a name for it yet though?? Kuala Lumpur
Days 81 - 86 Woke up this morning with the full intention of going shopping but on walking round i quickly realised it was more like dartford market than bluewater and all the shops did a thing called free size which is stupid nothing fits everyone?! They still tried to get me to buy their size 6 clothes and said they'd stretch to fit ha ha most likely cutting off circulation to the rest of my body!! Managed to get couple of tops but that's about it.. Planned to go see Quarantine tonight so sat around in Starbucks then went over.. It is absolutely pants, a bit like Blair Witch Project in the way it's filmed lasts about an hour but such a waste of time.. Could not be arsed to get up the next day ... read more
Ko Phangan
Ko Phangan, Ko Samui and Hat Yai Days 72 - 80 Woke up this morning to blue skies and the sun, funcking sweet!! After breakfast hit the beach yay, being stupid though i forgot to put suncream on and fell asleep on the beach.. Out for around 3 hours and woke up not being able to move one side of my face and having a bright pink glow coming off my left side ha ha great first bit of sun in a few weeks and im burnt, what a spaz!! Decided it would be best to sit in the shade for the rest of the day so sat in our hammock :) relaxing.. Cambodia
Days 64 - 65 Our bus left at 8am so had to be at the ticket office at 7:30am, bit too early for my liking think the earliest one yet.. Also not a sleeper bus tht 've gotten used to so no slipping back to sleep easily.. As we sat and waited a minibus pulled up with our trip written on the side of it, we all looked at each other and laughed thinking this was our bus for the whole journey and as we bundled in it was a very tight squeeze.. Luckily we were told by another passenger it was just the transfer bus, thank fuck for that cos i woulda gotten outta that thing crippled.. Bangkok
Bangkok and Koh Tao Days 66 - 71 Got up lateish couldn't really be arsed to move, Pete went to do some sight-seeing but it's all just more temples so i passed and went shopping instead :).. All the clothes are just one size, managed to find a few tops and nearly got tricked into thinking a dress could fit me.. Napped for a bit then went out for dinner and drinks.. The main street was full of bars so we went there and went to a roof one with live music, which was actually just a man on his guitar was good though.. This was the start of the buckets, ha ha me and Pete shared 3 before joining another crowd of poeple, Pete felt sick so went home and i carried on with them ... read more

Days 57 - 63 Got into Nha Trang about 6am and went into the first hotel there were alot around but they are pretty samey or same same but different as they would say.. Didn't fancy sharing a room needed to be in control of the tv remote ha ha no just needed a bit of space.. When we arrived it was quite nice out sunny not too many clouds and the beach looked really nice but it was now raining again, it's getting a bit annoying.. Watched a few poo films today whilst napping was so tired didn't get much sleep on the bus.. Went out for some dinner but didn't venture far it was tipping it down but still really humid not reat for my hair, at te moment i'm in need of some ... read more
Hoi An
Days 52 - 56 Arrived in Hue at around 08:30 but was woken at 05:30 by dancing with the stars vietnam style, slightly annoying but at least it wasn't Vietnam Idol which i've seen aadverts for!! The bus was pretty cramped but i'm alright the blokes looked funny though all bunched up and everytime the bus jerked or breaked sunddenly you'd shoot forward in bed and smack your feet at the bottom ha ha.. I fitted quite nicely :).. When we got off the bus i was still half asleep but we were bombarded by people asking if we wanted rooms but it didn't sound like english it was like gibberish especially at that time in the morning!! They were all cheap so went for the ne infront of us $15 a night for 4 not ... read more
