It's not that far from SLC about 30 miles. It is really beautiful up there. It must be amazing in the Winter with all of the snow everywhere. We took the girls to a little amusement park that had an alpine slide and rollar coaster. Of all the the hikes we've done in the desert of utah why is it http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Utah/Park-City/blog-416337.html Bryce Canyon to Salt Lake City We left this morning early to head up to Salt Lake City. There are a lot of lakes and rivers in Utah. On the drive up we stopped in Salt Lake to see BYU. I was tempted to throw on a USC shirt and walk around. Mark didn't like my idea. It is an really small school. Not much bigger than Mt. SAC or Citrus College for those of you who live in the San Gabriel Valley. Then we drove up to the Kennec http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Utah/Salt-Lake-City/blog-416264.html Zion to Bryce Canyon We left last night for Bryce Canyon. The drive took about 2 hours. What surprises me the most about Utah is how green South Utah is. When I thought of Utah I thought it would be desert. Parts of it are but a big portion of it is a national forest. Bryce Canyon is beautiful. It is full of multicolored rock foramtions. We took a three mile hike down into the canyon. We were able to hike th http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Utah/Bryce-Canyon/blog-416260.html Zion National ParkHiking the Narrows We got up early and went off to hike The Narrows. While the Narrows is very beautiful and striking it is also very rocky. The deepest water that we encountered was approx. 3' deep. Caitlin probably did the best out of all of us. I did fall at one point. We hiked approx. 2.5 miles upstream and then came back down. Hope that you enjoy the pictures Courtney http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Utah/Zion-National-Park/blog-416257.html Vegas to Zion We left Vegas this morning to head over to Zion. It took about two and a half hours. Not to bad of a drive. We stayed at the Zion Lodge which is located in the park. It really is nice to be able to stay right in the park with the girls. For a side note there was not a TV nor a pool at the Lodge. I'm not sure who was more dissapointed Mark with no SportsCenter or the girls without a swimming http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Utah/Zion-National-Park/blog-415413.html Las Vegas We are officially on vacation Our first stop is here in Vegas at my sisterinlaws house. We arrived in town about 630 had some delicious tostadas and got caught up with Melissa and Brendan. They will be heading to Zion with us tomorrow. Sorry this is so short but there's not a lot going on. Night Courtney http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Nevada/Las-Vegas/blog-414674.html
