Poor Tracey, 30 hours of hell, I do feel for you. The facts on the Panama Canal were fascinating - what a brilliant piece of engineering. As usual, this and your last few blogs, have been amazing. Keep `em coming. Lots of love, Penny |
| 2nd April 2009 Couchies | News On Colombia - From: Fun Is The New Drug Hi John Not only do I reccommend Colombia but we have been travelling for a year and a half and Colombia is one of the best countries we have been to. REALLY nice people, cheap and beautiful. We were travelling as 1 guy and 2 girls and we never once felt in danger, even in Bogota. I felt more nervous in Brazi that I ever did im Colombia. The guns and drugs are a thing of the past. Go there now before it is spoiled by tourism in 10 years. David |
| 2nd April 2009 anonymous | - From: Fun Is The New Drug Hi guys. I'm in Brasil at the moment and planning on going to Colombia with some friends. Some of hem are afraid of going but they insist it is suicidal to set foot in Colombia. Do you recommend the country and how is the safety situation there, Thanks for the info. John |

The snorkelling in Bonito must have been out of this world, and Tracey you are either brave or mad to have gone swimming with the piranhas and caimen! It really sounds as if you have had the most amazing experiences in Brasil. I know I say it in practically every comment from me, but, Wow! Thanks once again for letting us share it all with you. Lots of love, Penny |
| 11th February 2009 Penny Rymer | Fabulous photos - From: Boredom Crossings In The Land Of Meat And Mountains Once again fabulous descriptions of where you visited! The glacier El Perito Moreno sounds breathtaking, I loved the photo with the boat so we could see the scale. Also loved the photos of the penguins on Martillo Island. What a privilege to be able to get so close. What a wonderful vantage point to see the sealions. It would have driven me mad with all your criss-crossing of borders - I look forward to looking at both of your passports when you get home. Hope you manage to save some space in yours until the very end of your trip Dave! Have a great time in Uruguay. Much love Penny |
| 27th January 2009 Penny Rymer | Thanks for letting us into NASA's secret! - From: Sandyclaus Is Coming To Town Wow Valley of the Moon sounds wonderful, and your trip and interview with Alain must have been fascinating (hope you get your article published Tracey). Your Domo-esque hotel sounds intriguing - I have never slept inside a golf ball! Lots of love, Penny |
| 22nd December 2008 Penny Rymer | Terrifying! - From: Silver Slavery, Salty Scenery and Sinful Salchipapas! Hi guys, wow another great blog, but rather you than me travelling down the Death Road! | 6th December 2008 Penny Rymer | Catch the Thief! - From: The National Symbol is a Fake You poor things! How dreadful to lose your camera with what I am sure would have been superb photos. But your descriptions are, as usual, wonderful. And I love your drawings. Fascinating to read where the actual Equator really is! At least you will save other travellers the expense of going into the fake area. Your climb using the crampons etc. sounds exhausting, and terribly debilitating, but I am sure the stunning views made it all worthwhile. Looking forward to the next blog! With my love, Penny |

| 29th June 2008 Penny Rymer | What horror - From: What Causes Amoebic Dysentery Anyway? Tracey & Dave, thank you for reminding us of the horrors of the Pol Pot regime. | 26th June 2008 Danimal | The Tigers were drugged!! - From: Trying Land Not sure if you can see but there is photographic evidence those tigers are drugged...the tiger Dave is standing next to has the end of a hashish pipe sticking out from under his pawpit (like an arm pit but tigers dont have arms do they smarty pants!)..not to mention that tiger clearly has a coke habit...just check out the size of those nostrils (worse than Tara PT)...also I reckon I can almost see a couple panda's and a leopard heating up the knives on a bunsen burner in the background. You be the judge |
