Keep going guys - From: Northern Laos
Hi Conor & Vicki, You site looks awful lonely without a comment. So here it is: Iit's great to see the trip is still going strong. I think you are developing a lovely 'tourits guide' style in your blogs. Someone someday will discover you both and offer you a contract to write tourist guides. Maybe when you get home RTE will offer you both the job of replacing Kathryn Thomas. Meanwhile, keep on trucking and get home safe, but not yet! We need the money so we are renting out your rooms! It's the recession. It's waiting for you when you get home! So don't rush. Ian

Con and Vicki! Hope you got to see the Liverpool game last night! When are you coming home? We all miss you so much , sob sob! Only joking, stay where you are! Ireland is a hell hole at the moment!! Things have gotten so bad here that the ar*e has even fallen out of the recession! The Taoiseach has even turned out the light at the end of the tunnel. The government are like the Arsenal defence, nobody seems to know what they are doing! Anyway, spring is in the air and Ireland take on Engalnd in the rugby on Saturday so that means only one thing....BEER! Will check in again soon, keep enjoying yourselves and send us another card (a nudie one if you can!) Cheers for now!!

Soggy January - From: Lake Titicaca and the Islanders
Hi Guys , Well its sounds like you two are having an absolute ball . We on the other hand spent christmas in New Ross with Granny who surprising enough has decided to quit her messin , and is back on her feet and in tip top form . Especially if she thinks theres a chance Sherman might be coming down to see her - Not Jackie or Ian , Or my folks who flew from Spain to see the woman but Sherman !!!!! I didnt realise it was just sherman she wanted and brought my dog down with us to stay and all she said was ..... its not sherman ! Im sure you've heard the christmas gossip of Emma being pregnant , she gave her Dad the photo from her 12 week scan and thats how she told him . Everyone is thrilled for her, the poor thing thought everyone would be upset or angry , only granny really said anything to upset her and even she was mild . All she said was Emma was bold and doesnt she think the family is big enough as it is . So we were all happy there . New Years was a bit of a damp squelch we decided to stay in and spend our first new years together as a married couple on our own with a bottle of bubbly . And as nice as it was we just spent the night wondering what everyone else was up to :( Dumbasses ! We quickly realised we can spend any night in together . Roll on next year ! Anyways that all for now I'll talk to you soon Oh and Vicky HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY Love Rach xxx

hostels in Antigua - From: Spanish in Antigua
Hi Sandy, For the first week of our spanish course we stayed with a host family, the accomodation and food were basic however from talking to other students it seemed we had just got a bad deal. some of the students had great host families.to find accomodation for the second week , we spent 2 days visiting most if not all the hostels in Antigua. In the end stayed in a fantastic hostel called hostel 5. Its on 4th avenida north. the outside of the building is green. It a little more expensive than other hostels but we felt it was worth it. It was clean, friendly and so comfortable. Its only open 2 months. We stayed there for 7 nights and they gave us a deal of 1 night for free. hope you enjoy your trip

First of all, kudos to Vicki for getting you to shave! Well done Vicki, you're every girls inspiration! The blog seems to be going down well with everyone and the pictures are great, where'd you get such a good camera!!! Wowzers! I'm not jealous you guys are having such exotic times, sure who could want more than an evening in the rain with Bleep! Speaking of four legged friends, I see you've made some new ones........well they'll never replace Sherman and Flibeen! I would've liked to have seen Vicki's face had she been faced with that gigantor spider or bats. And you're a local hero now too, they'll be putting up monuments and statues in your honour (or a few twigs at least), they'll call you "Salvador de Autobus". Lets see how good your spanish really is squinky! Have more times and take more pictures and stop having tans and looking well. You guys are assposed to be dirty and hairy! Adios para ahora mis amigos xx

Hi guys, We really enjoyed your three recent blogs. Mam was so excited!! The pictures are brilliant. You are really doing it 'native', not like Jonny & Gill (5 star trippers). Conor, your writing is great. You show great potential for writing a book. Am just looking at Snow Patrol performing the new single off their new album which is about to be released. It's a bit "san miguel" (same again - similar to the last album, if you are not a Dub). Im impressed with the size of the bottles of beer, no wonder you were smiling in the photo. You both look fantastic (that's Jackie). Anyway, must open another bottle of wine. Stay safe and well. Ian (Vicki's Dad for those that don't know me) Hasta la vista.

Hola - From: The preliminaries
Hi guys, Good to see that your Tlog is up and running. Looking forward to the photos. Surprised that you thought the Cubans a little less than friendly, as I had heard different. Anyway I will pass on your insight to a couple of friends with whom I was planning a trip to Cuba with to see our old friend Fidel before he pops his clogs and the place changes (we have been talking about this for fours years- still in the talking phase). By the way, did you know that the Cuban Embassy is in Clontarf. Anway, viva la Revolucion!!
