We went to Greece this last weekend! It was a great experience. We started off by taking a commuter train that is included in our metro passes rather than a taxi or bus. It was interesting, they use electric trains everywhere, not just for the metro, and it is astonishing how many tunnels they have built under this city. They use the rails they have built soo much also. Christina is already tired of how many times I have expressed my love of this airport, BUT I will tell you. It is the most amazing airport I have ever been to, it is difficult not to be happy inside of it. It is kind of like DIA in the way that they have a big tent like structure built, but its different in scale, material, and ... read more

... and we are not getting any better at this are we? After finishing the last blog, we made a resolution to write more which has obviously gone out the window. I suddenly feel like Bridget Jones.. "Drink less, oh and quit smoking....Don't keep new years resolutions." I'll try to convince Alex to write next time, it's even more difficult to get him to sit down and write (He would like me to add that this is apparently because he just has to do EVERYTHING :) So lets see… what's new. Well we've been trying to find a black jacket for Alex so that he doesn't stick out so much. For me it's nice, if he gets side tracked and wanders off (which he always does)... lets see, where is that child? There's a sea of ... read more

Well we are really not doing as well as we would have hoped to be doing on this whole blogging thing are we? We apologize and hope to remedy this with a satisfactory entry. We have survived yet another week and the unknown is becoming more and more familiar. Last weekend, we went on a bus tour with some friends of ours that took us up to Montjüic where the Olympics were held many years back. Alex and I got to walk around and see the Olympic village and try to imagine what it must have been like back in the day. It is a beautiful location that overlooks the entire city of Barcelona. We never really understood just how large the city was (its about 5 million people). The tour also took us through various ... read more

the next few days… Our first day of school started early at 7:00 AM to the sound of diesel engines and a cold shower, something is wrong with the hot water heater and that lost warm part of the day is very missed. Anyway, a great aspect about our apartment is that the metro station is only a three minute walk to get on a train that takes us across town in fifteen minutes. It was not entirely smooth though, we walked up out of the station, took a look around and realized we did not recognize a thing from when we scoped it out…. So back down into the metro we went and back two stops. Needless to say we were minutes away from the beginning of class at this point so once we got ... read more

Welcome to our travel blog, Como Se Dice?! or as the Spanish would say, "Como se dithe?" We decided it would be best to just combine and do one travel blog together. Neither of us are dedicated enough to provide a consistent account of our travels so we thought this could be a possible solution. We promise to be as complete and as honest about our trials and triumphs as we can be, exposing to you the raw emotion and chaos that is total Spanish emersion. The journey across the Pond was not all too exciting, though Alex might say otherwise about our oh-so-pleasant flight attendant. We found our way to the very back of the plane where, to our surpise, a very tiny (VERY TINY) French woman was occupying my seat to sit alongside her ... read more
