It's so weird that my time in France is coming to a close. Everyone is packing up to leave and I still have another month, but I know it will come too soon. C-Pat and I are headed to Paris when we are finished with exams on Wednesday to have one last hoora before our families get here and she leaves. Back in France. Wasn't really planning on a stay in Nantes but there weren't any trains back to Clermont. I parted ways with Megan earlier in the day to head to the gare before realizing my cell phone got stolen!! I decided to check into a hotel and then walk around the city for a while. I missed being able to communicate after being out of France for so long. After walking for about an hour, I ran into Megan and Sarah which was really random but great!! The hills were definately alive with the sound of music. Megan and I decided to drop into Salzburg on the way home from England...random yes...but worth it. It was so beautiful! We went on the Sound of Music Tour which was pretty much the best thing ever. Singing along on a bus around Austria can be pretty exhilerating. We also got quite lost, but eventually found our way thanks to Megan's genius philosophy of "if you walk around for long enough, you'll get there sometime..." Liverpool = 1. Home of the Beatles. 2. The most boring town in the UK. I had 13 hours in Liverpool waiting for Megan's flight to get in before heading to Leeds. What an amazing city!! I decided to come and visit Megan Foreman in BP while she is studying there. The people were so nice and warm too. We did meet a Hungarian guy who spoke English with the strongest Brittish accent I have ever heard...it was bizarre. We had a really great time though and the weather was beautiful!! (You will also note from the picture that Oklahoma is no longer "Native America" ... It's Hungary. I still haven't really figured out why a Hungarian was dressed as a Cherokee...) [View Full Entry]

Well after having the song "Sur le pont d'Avignon" in my head for the past 4 months, I finally went. We were only there for a day but we made the best of it. Only half the bridge is still standing and we also saw the Palais de Papes. Beautiful city...but kind of sad because it was the last day with my family!! [View Full Entry]
