Well I've touched down in Sydney, and was greeted warmly at the airport, by Angela, who I used to work with. The flight was good, Emirates have really good in flight movies, I got to watch "Hotel Rawanda", which was a pretty moving story set in the genocide of Rawanda. Interesting movie for someone setting off to save the world! Leaving my home, I feel somewhat more connected with the wider world. Thank you everybody for coming, I had the most fabulous evening. I couldn't have hoped for a better send off. I would like to also thank my mother (God! this is sounding like an Oscar speech!) who kept the food flowing all night! And the rest of my family who helped me with the party.
