Not too much to see on the island but as you can tell I was impressed with the sunsets http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/South-West-Thailand/Ko-Tao/blog-43017.html From West to East in 2 Days I rode from the beautiful beaches on the West coast through the Karst landscape home to Koh Sok National Park to Surat Thani in the East. http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/South-West-Thailand/Khao-Sok-NP/blog-43011.html Up the West Coast. From Phuket's lovely beach at Nai Yang I travelled north to the more rustic beach at Khao Lak. It was here that I noticed the most devastation from the Tsunami. http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/South-West-Thailand/Khao-Lak/blog-41265.html Ferried into Thailand... From the beautiful Malaysian island of Langkawi I took the ferry straight into Thailand. From Trang I headed West and took ferries between the islands of Ko Lanta Ko Phi Phi and Phuket. http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/South-West-Thailand/Ko-Phi-Phi/blog-41262.html Interrupted route to Penang On route from Taiping to Penang I was spied and kidnapped by the cyclist thief David. He is an avid collector of cyclists and had already captured a Dutch couple the day before. Later that day he also captured a couple from Wigan Jan and John...It was a good week for him. David's hospitality was astounding. He allowed us all to stay in his home free of charge and his wife cooked us a fantast http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Malaysia/Penang/blog-39800.html Languishing in Langkawi Languishing in the beautiful island of Langkawi. If your looking for a Malaysian island getaway I'd definitely advise going here rather then Penang. The beaches are magnificent http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Malaysia/Kedah-and-Perlis/Pulau-Langkawi/blog-39802.html Taiping and Bukit Lauret Taiping is an intriguing town which the guide talked about negatively but I thought was an interesting stop on route to the coast. I also wanted to visit a hillstation and Bukit Lauret Malaysia'a oldest is situated just almost all uphill over 1400m 12km's from the town. http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Malaysia/blog-39796.html Road to the Capital The ride from Melaka to the capital Kuala Lumper restored my faith in the joys of cycle touring. http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Malaysia/Melaka/Melaka-City/blog-38589.html Glimpse's of Kuala Lumper Glimpse's of Kuala Lumper http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Malaysia/Wilayah-Persekutuan/Kuala-Lumpur/blog-38584.html Dallying in Melaka The GAA Allstars Hurling game in the Singapore Polo Grounds....surreal to say the least.
